Well, I’m really sorry to see Danny go. I think he has a terrific voice and style; as well as Kris. Adam is just too full of himself. I’m convinced that he makes all those grand entrances (ie coming down that white staircase dressed in white with white lites behind him..) just to distract everyone from hearing what he really sounds like..nothing! Everyone is too busy watching him rather than listening to him. I could never hear his voice because he’s always screaming….and the few times I DID actually hear his voice it was nothing to write home about. I’m sure that both Danny and Kris will be putting together their own successful CD’s. Adam will put one CD out and it will be nothing but screeching. Good luck to them all…

I have to disagree with Ruby. Adam is NOT screaming for sure. Its just the style of singing. And I find that Kris is good but because of his size, his voice is not that powerful as it should have been. Danny is a good singer but his voice is too boring and all songs sounds the same when he sings. I am excited for Adam and Kris - i think kris surprised me last night with his Heartless song. But I am an Adam Fan so GO GLAMBERT!!!!!!!!!

Anyone who knows voice and singing, knows that Danny is far more talented than Kris. All the screaming little girls with cell phones voted for Kris…..that’s very apparent. I’ve followed this show from the first season. This will be the first finale I have no interest in watching. You blew it America!

Since Adam was in the bottom two, does that mean Kris had one million votes MORE than Adam? I’d like to see Kris win. Think the judges threw him under the bus most of the season. Tonite Simon rolled his head when Kris was called safe. Kara appeared crushed by Danny going home. Didn’t notice Paula or Randy’s reaction. Hated the fact that Katy What’s Her Name had Adam Lambert on her cape. Either way, Kris is a winner!

I have been watching Idol since season one, and I think that every year it gets better. But I think those who watch it need to remember that it is a singing competition and Danny is a good singer, but the performances over the last two weeks show that Kris and Adam were better. I think this years finale will be one of the shows best ever. And thank you to Kris and Adam for being the best and making it a great season to watch.

I realize God has had a helluva lot on his collection plate lately, plus watching out for winners only of Grammy awards and major sporting events, but thank Jebus Price he finally found the time to check out American Idol this week and even he said enough is enough: “GOKEY IS A JOKEY!!”
In April 2009, Gorkey even got beaten for Best Christian/Gospel Artist of the Year (during the AI series!), let alone being open to all singers, in his own home state of Wisconsin, not the whole of America! God must have been away again having another week off!
It’s sad that his wife died under tragic circumstances, but his background story far outweighed his singing ability. Boring as batshit comes to mind. Gorkey and Kris remind me of when you are on an ocean cruise and there is someone singing way in the background, but you’re having too a good a time and couldn’t be bothered to turn around and have a look.
Adam has more talent than both in his little finger.

Wow, who cares………….Talent is talent and let the votes begin. This has been an incredible season and KUDOS to all the contestants who made it. There are those who like the screaming rocker and there are those who like the soft sudtle vocal. PUBLIC OPINION has always been there it just seems who screams the loudest gets the most attention. I just wish it could be a fare contest and that judges and entertainers were not allowed to show favotism. Let America vote on their own and not be swayed by other opinions. My vote is a set of new judges and rules for the next season. Possibly a new way of voting like ONE VOTE PER PHONE, INTERNET, ETC.

It’s entertainment, so doubtful you wishes for new, unbiased judges will come true. Just can’t see any new judges on the horizon. One vote per phone line would be nice so rabid fans can’t hit redial for 2 hours. As far as the “screaming”, to reduce a talent like Adam Lambert to “whoever screams the loudest” is really idiotic. His talent goes far beyond any screaming you have perceived. I think “PUBLIC OPINION” is that Adam is an immense talent–best Idol has ever seen. Get with the program, lady.

I’M VOTING FOR KRIS BUT….There is no doubt that Adam is an entertainer! If I saw him on Broadway or at a Vegas show, I certainly would feel that I got my money’s worth for the price of the ticket, dinner and parking! He is a show stopper, can sing, scream (he can make my ears bleed) and hit any and every note on pitch! I think Broadway or Vegas is where Adam can be the most successful whether he wins or not (and he will more than likely win).
But as a Rock Star? I think he lacks that gut retching, rawness from somewhere deep inside a singer that makes rock “rock”. He PERFORMS “rock”…. like Elvis during his fat years in Vegas - voice still good but a not a rocker anymore…. or like Cher preforming rock in the 60’s and 70’s. I could see him in that new Broadway rock show. Even if he wins, I doubt that he’ll be some Rock God. I look at Adam and see a Liza Minnelli type entertainer… not Steven Tyler or Bono.
Allison was the rocker….. it came from her soul. It’s either there or not…. While he might have blown my mind with every performance, Adam has not touched my soul yet.
I do see the $$$ potential more for Kris than any one else win or lose. I think he’ll get more air-play on the radio than the rest of them. He’s got that “current pop” sound thing going that appeals to both younger and older fans. Kris came out everyweek, true his own original style. Adam was while exciting was different every week - so I don’t know his style. “Mad World” and “Ring of Fire” were not his own arrangements. Check out Gary Jules and Voodoo Wall on youtube.

A couple of years ago, Simon use to close his eyes so that he HEARD the song and was not judging the stage performance rather than the voice. Didn’t see him do it this year. Was he so blown over by Adam’s stage presence that he didn’t hear anything or anyone else?
If Kris wins, I hope the judges and crowd give him a better reception than last night. It was clearly obvious they didn’t think he should be there. It would be humiliating for Kris if they react like that next week.

Well, I think Adam could pretty much sing any type of music he wanted to. It should have been Allison and Adam in the finale, unfortunately us Canadians can’t phone in a vote. Danny & Kris both sing pretty boring, sappy love songs, almost put me to sleep, where Adam can put on a show and keep everyone entertained. I think he does have that rock edge. Hes the one that kept me watching.
And to Cheri…the judges are there because they know what a ‘great’ singer sounds like.
Don’t you hear them giving the singers tips on how to perform better the next week?! Put on your listening ears! Go Adam, I hope you win!

No, Simon was not blown over only by Adam’s stage presense. Adam has superb vocals –the best of any idol this season and I’d venture to say Season’s past as well. It is quasi-delusional to think that Adam is only eye candy. He is substantial. I happen to think Kris also has stage presense and looking at Kris–with his sincerity when he sings–helps him out. Plus, he’s cute. Truly,You are not giving Adam nearly enough credit.

I knew it would come down to Chris and Adam. Adam will go far whether he wins are loses. He is obviously in the top every week.
I think more people need to take a hard look at Chris though. He has done a great deal as far as changing songs up and working out new arrangements. I think he has been more diverse in some cases than Adam has.
Either way, I think they are both winners.

My criticism was (in my opinion) that he doesn’t sing rock, but PERFORMS rock. And there is a difference…

LUKE AND TS - I am new to this blog and the other blog your referring to. I don’t know Sybil, Artistry, Grimoire or anyone else. I am guilty of defending Tammy and Artistry’s right to give their own opinion. Whether you believe me or not, at this point I just don’t care. Many are confused and restless. Influenced by
others not analyzing of what’s true. How can you call Adam a “rock god” if he himself can not even play any musical instrument? not even
a drum or electric guitar. How’s that? He just “screams”. KRIS excels in his own genre
the difference is kris can play instruments.
Kris is way younger than Adam. Kris has a wider range of age group fans. I guess Adam fans are
middle adult to senior citizen coz they need the energy to get young again; type of music to entertain them coz those age group tend to get bored. Kris type of music are mellow and pop those young age that are in love. Age group that are free from worries, light music is good enough. Simon worries about his money so he needs something to distract him like a noisy music with quivering light to escape from reality.

I am so very confused with these weird messages from people who also seem so confused.
Adam needs to win this Wednesday. He has done everything AI has asked him to do and more! I think Kris is a nice guy, but why let real talent slip away in support of a nice,cute guy with average singing voice? If Kris wins it will be so boring. Hey fans—-coooollll, please don’t hate each other. AI is purely a “commercial entertainment” with aim of making TV rating and revenues. It’s not really a “true” talent competition.
For one, there is not even a set of criteria for judging, with point system. It’s all subjective criticisms and populist voting. Also, with due respect, the credentials of the present judges are not for “true” musical talent competiton.
Second, is there an auditing(transparent) by a reputable firm of the results of the voting? Who count the votes?
I will be surprise if there’s none, because in other countries, just like lotto and other contests where huge monetary rewards are involved, these are regulated and properly auditted.
Thus, AI is just like a circus; it’s just for fun and entertainment. Please don’t make “idolatry” out of AI hopefuls. Just enjoy each show particulary the Tuesday finale.
Again, it’s no longer a “battle” of talents but a “battle” of number of votes.
The hating and the curse words? Not worth it!!! Just have fun and be entertained.
To the voting fans, be ready with your home phones, cell phones, phone cards, ATM cards, etc etc. Exercise also your fingers everyday and rate your self on how many calls and text you could send every minute. Strategize, on how you can make that many calls in 2 hrs.
Finally, be nice with Danny and his fans. This is the only way your “Idol” can win the AI finale.

How I wish a set of judging criteria is being used in AI to really judge the true deserving contestant based on their talent not popularity. Just for example:
Voice Quality(Tone, Pitch, Timing, etc) - 40%
Originality - 20 %
Stage Presence(Style) - 20%
Audience Impact -20%
Each judge will score each contestant based on these criteria. Then, the score of each judge will be averaged to come up with the final scores.This is the final score to be presented to the audience and viewers before the voting at the end of the show.
Contests like “Iron Chef America”, “Dancing with the Stars” has a scoring system, of their own. This the only best way to really judge who are the most talented contestant/participant of them all.
Subjective criticism from the judges of AI, has no value at all in a supposedly musical talent competition like AI. This only creates favoritism, confusion, hatred and too much commercialism at the expense of the contestants.
This is what’s happening now, in my point of view.
