American Idol 2009 Top 4 Performances Tonight
May 5th, 2009 American Idol, Performances, Season 8,Update: Tonight’s American Idol performances are over. Now it’s time to do your voting and call out who you think will be eliminated on Wednesday’s results show.
Tonight on American Idol 2009, the Top 4 performers will take to the stage and perform songs from the Rock ‘n Roll genre under the guidance of Slash. This should be a really great night with four very capable performers and a great catalog to pick from.
Let’s start hearing some guesses on who will be this week’s top performer. Be sure to vote in the American Idol Top 4 poll and then leave your comments below to battle it out for your favorite!

My guess is that Adam and Kris will be top. Kris is not my fav, but he has been so consistent lately. Adam of course is consistently good despite last week’s rigging. Rock is tailor-made for Glambert.
I think Allsion and Danny have both peaked and really have nothing new or fresh to offer. Allison will probably contiue to be judge-pimped, so who knows how much influence that will have on opinion. Danny will probably come out at the bottem–just a guess. He actually did very well last week. Truth is, I think Allison should be the one to go.
If Allison is the bottom 2, I am sure the judges will be all shocked and stunned. Did anyone notice the lack of surprise from the judges when Adam–most popular and consistently top performer landed at the bottom? No surprise. Hmmmmm…interesting. (Publcity stunt, rigged results, ratings, pretend there is really a contest…..).

I hope Kareoke Gokey is at the bottom. I decided this past week that he is boring and I just don’t like him anymore. He peaked about a month ago. He doesn’t seem sincere or nice. His singing is okay. Hope he goes. He will never make it big outside of Idol.
Top will be Adam or Allison, the pimped one, because rock is their gig.

I don’t trust AI. It’s just tricks of wording. Ryan said the names out “Adam, Allison, Danny are NOT your bottom 3″ moved Adam then pointed to Matt and Chris “this is your bottom3″ he never said Adam was IN bottom3. “I will send one person back to safe”, did not say Chris is the 3rd to safe. “After 4700 million votes, the highest votes of the season Adam you are safe”, why add that redundant sentence which he already announced earlier in the show. Got it? of all 4 were safe, he never said who was 1st, 2nd…..

Kris and Allison top 2? That would be a huge yawn-fest. I can assure you that many would tune out IDOL the rest of the season. Adam has got to be there to make things exciting and interesting. Besides, it is great when someone with real talent can make it to the end (Unlike Taylor Hicks, or Reuben Stoddard, et al).

They won’t send Adam home because they have enough sense to know, if Adam goes home, they will have no one to watch the next 3 shows..Who would want to watch an hour long show with boring Danny and Kris and gravely Allison? No surprise to look forward to…So even if they are going to give it to someone else, Adam will have to be in the top 2..so people will watch until the last show..Then they can give it to whoever but it will not matter because Adam will be the big star that comes out of this season…

Anybody besides me notice how smug and cocky Danny acts?..He is so certain he has it in the bag…Sure he is getting lots of sympathy but that is not going to sell any boring records…Adam is so very humble..Just stands there and barely smiles, no matter how wild the crowd gets..And they do get wild when he performs!!

Hey Sib, Danny did Dream On. The judges weren’t that kind to him tonight saying they thought he over did it, maybe cause rock isn’t his thing. They did something different tonight, they had a duet with Danny & Kris. That was the performance I was taking about. I can’t even remember the song but when I do I’ll let you know. And of course they really, really loved Adam. Then, Adam and Allison did a duet and everyone loved that too.

Adam is the most OVER-RATED contestant that has ever been on this show. He is nothing more than an over dramatic broadway singer that thinks he a rock star. Sure I will admit that he has been the most original as far as arrangement, but most of them been as Simon would put “Self indulgent nonsense”. Any true rock fans think he is a joke and after his first album comes out which will probally bomb you will only hear his name mentioned in clay aiken jokes. As for the other 3 Danny is nothing more than a karoke singer at best Allison is probally a couple of years away to be a good artist. Chris while not great(but the best of this bunch) will probally be the one out of this group that has the most commerical success.

I agree with Mike about Adam. I think that Danny’s song was good until the last high note. Kris had a great week and Allison had a good week. I threw up in my mouth a little when Adam was singing.

Wow. For the first time ever, I have no idea who is going to win. I don’t think a married man/woman will ever win it–daughtry came in 4th. They’re all single, and Fantasia was the only one with a kid. So…if that holds true, Kris can’t win. Danny wasn’t as good tonight. Adam is great but he’s starting to sound the same on all his songs. Allison sounds the same to me, too, song after song. Adam needs another Mad Mad World or something to show a different side of him. I love Danny, but he needs a leather jacket and to stop taking the judges advice about “swagger” because now y’all think he’s conceited. I’m going out on a limb and say Adam, Danny and Allison. But it’s really a crap shoot this year. It’s not nearly as exciting as last year.

Adam was phenomonal. I cannot believe the frumpy folks here who don’t get him. He blew everyone away tonight.
I felt the judges were a tad too tough on Kris. They were a little easy on Danny given his sub-par performance. But, with Danny–they may have given him a pass because they know he is better and more capable than that one really bad performance. Oh, that attempt at a scream. Danny. Please–never–again….

It appears tonight’s performance was rig. Did anyone notice at the very end when showing the contestants for the final round that only Danny’s screaming was put forward for the audience to judge. I think they are putting forward Adam to win. Why have an American Idol when there’s so much influence in the process

Three’s Company I agree with you to a point.Adam is good,but he had a more popular song than Allison.Not sure how I feel about the guy,it seems more like a movie that I am watching when he performs.Allison was great,she had a real difficult song to sing,and yet was able to pull it off.I think we will be in for a surprise in regards to Allison.Kris was really weak,Im not sure he wants to be there anymore.Danny took a chance like Allison but was unable to pull it off.But I think Kris is next to go.

I think they did a Rock night intentinally for Adam this week. They know it’s his “forte” and he would rock it. He bombed with Country night. This is not fair to the other contestents especially at this point in the contest. Kris is so much more talented and versatile than Adam. And.. Adam tone down the mascara and lip gloss. Creepy.

I’ve been a real big fan of Idol from the start. First new judge needs to go. Next people are going to hate me for this but Adam is scary. Screaming is not what I’m looking for in a idol. Kris to me is the only one that has that sweet attitude and is consistant. None of them will ever beat Currie she has it all.

Brandi, I did see Matt on the Ellen show, he rocked. I miss him a lot. I honestly think now that Matt is gone that the top three after tonight will be Adam, Allison, and Kris. Danny is on vote for the worst, it seems whoever is on there seems to leave, just look at Lil Rounds and Matt Giraud. I cannot stand the screaming from the freak show of Adam!! Since when is this a screaming contest? I think the judges are bias and are smoking somthing or they have lost their minds. this is not a holloween contest, kick Adam off!! I’m really thankful that Kris or Danny is still there coz Adam should be out. He is rocker but can not even play any instrument. How could he be called talented? He is the shock, rocker and roll. For example, if a homosexual went out with another homosexual, came home and apologized to God, though he knew he would go out again, does it make any difference that he is sorry? Does it matter to God whether he is ashamed of it or not? Is it false that homosexuals cannot control their preference if they tried? What if a gay man truly did not want to feel the way he did, but could not control his liking for the same gender?

It is not about religion or a must go to church concept.
Not all chruch goers are saved & not all that have religions are saved either. The one who are saved are those who accepted the Lord Jesus as their personal Lord & Saviour. Everybody believes there is God and Bible but few are the one who take up their cross and follow Jesus. That’s why we are all God’s children and he loves us. The original plan of God is perfection until the time at the Garden of eden when temptations came in. Adam & Eve was tempted and given up their authority to rule the earth. Because of SIN we are separated from God. Since God loves the world, He sent his only begotten Son. John 3:16. God is also a judge that will punish -He does not leave the guilty unpunished. We are all like sheep, gone astrayed, walked on each own ways. But Jesus mended that when he was crucified; he laid all the inquities and he paid for the price. Now, Jesus is offering that free gift of eternal life for everyone who comes to him and believes. Believing is not enough because even the demons believe there is one God, and shudder. Faith without works is dead. After accepting the free gift; there are ways to nurture it by attending churches that teaches the bible and fellowship with believers, pray and read the bible. Then witnessing. Share what God has done to your life. Be a blueprint of the Bible. Everyone can contest your belief but you can not exchange your personal experience with Jesus. If you’re struggling for something…. highly recommended and try it!!!
