American Idol 2009 Top 4 - Elimination Results Show Tonight
May 6th, 2009 American Idol, Results, Season 8,Tonight on American Idol 2009 the Top 4 results will be revealed, sending one singer home, and giving us the season’s Top 3 with just weeks to go until the big finale.
After last night’s show I was thinking Allison was in the most danger and this morning DialIdol would agree. Allison is at the bottom of the list, just barely behind Kris though so this could be very close tonight. I wouldn’t expect Glambert to be back in the bottom after the scare he had last week.
During tonight’s American Idol results show Chris Daughtry will return to perform along with No Doubt. I’m hoping for some Slash guitaring, but that might not happen.
Be sure to vote for who you think will be going home tonight, leaving us with the Top 3 singers.

I began the evening hoping that Allison would go. And then….something happened…I heard Danny Gokey sing. My God, my ears….I think he does not have the staying power, folks. He had a good run. That was not just mediocre–it was horrible. He came nowhere near hitting that high note–he was incapable. He didn’t seem comfortable. Who suggested that song for him? Who encouraged this? When, during the practice, did Danny even come close to that note? It was abominable and he really needs to leave. At this point it is a week-by-week assesment. If Danny stays,it defies explanation and I can only attribute this to a “Vote for the Worst” victory. I am still traumatised. MOMMY!!!

Allison, She chose an inspirational classic by a performer sooo many artists have, in the past, tried to personify, but have rarely captured that essence to make the attempt believable. Allison not only captured it, she served it up with a dose of smoothness and a layer of soulfulness that I have never heard in it before. I hope she makes it to the final with Adam…

OK, so I don’t know about everyone else, but I thought that Danny embarrassed himself. Why is he trying to be Adam now. Not even Danny fans can deny that. OYI, what was he thinking….By the way, Adam and Allison were absolutely amazing!!!!!

I think they did a Rock night intentinally for Adam this week. They know it’s his “forte” and he would rock it. He bombed with Country night. This is not fair to the other contestents especially at this point in the contest. Kris is so much more talented and versatile than Adam. And.. Adam tone down the mascara and lip gloss. Creepy.

I realize that but at this point in the competition when there are only a handful of contestants left I feel they saved the timing of it for him. Last week he fell into the bottom 3. What better way to assure he stays than to do rock week. That being said…he’s going to be the next Idol winner.

So here is my take. I have heard Whole Lotta Love thousands of times and if simon wants to talk sound alike thats what adams performance was. The judges are totally in love with him and i dont get the hype.
Im supporting Allison big time i was blown away by her this week. The judges have yet to give her a fair shake.
Kris was good but not great. I liked his take on the song but it wasnt a winning performance.
Danny is in the love/hate category I loved it but could see how others would hate it

If you do not like Adam, pls send him to Europe and fast:)) The only idol in this year’s competition has been and is Adam ..he has been and is so far ahead of the other three in singing ability, performing and giving a soul to all the songs he has performed. That is so rare for a young man as he is. Good luck Adam, and if you will be voted off, it does not matter, as you will become a super star and the others most probably will be forgotten in a couple of years (hope Kris will survive as he is so cute). “Rock Week” was determined long before even Rat Pack week. What do you ding bats think? That when Adam (supposedly) landed in the bottom 2 that they “created ” rock week to help him out? Like he needs any help. News of Rock Week was all over the blogs and released to the media by April 26. Hello?? The announcemnt of “Rock Week” for May 5th was released long before Rat Pack Week even aired. Hello??? and why should IDOL stay away from such a wide-open and popular theme like Rock–because it’s Adam’s “forte”? That’s silly. If the others are so good, they should be able to compete.

Keily I think we both know now who the best singers might be.That being said,it was obvious that Allison should win this contest.She had a very difficult song to sing and was able to pull it off.Adam had a very popular song as well as easy song to sing,he played it to safe,that is why I would like to see Allison win this contest.Allison. at times seems not to get a fair shake from the jugdes.Everyone knows that she is the best,and yet it seems like the judges kindly push her aside.But at least you know that she has a real chance now to win.

Gotta disagree with you a little there, Tony. If everyone knew Allison was the best, then she would not have been in the bottom 3 times. She will win if everyone knows she is the best. I think she was okay with her song last night, but much better with the duet. Her solo was, however, better than Danny’s (which was horrendous).
Whole Lotta Love is far from a “safe” choice. Musically and technically and melodically it is a very difficult piece. Not a safe choice at all. Adam is not known for playing it safe. Allison has a lot of support from the judges. But not as much support as Gokey who stunk last night. Why didn’t the judges call him on that?

Just Another Glambert.I am not trying to hide my bias.of course I am a big fan of Allison.And here is why,every song that she sings, keeps getting better and better.She does not play it safe,and she is able to pull the hard songs off.Adam played it to safe last night,and as you can read a lot of people feel the same,it is like watching a high school musical with that guy.So basically we have an amatuer Allison against a pro Adam,and he still cant put her away.I think we may have an upset comming your way.You could plainly see whae Adam and Allison sang together,they very much complimented each other.Allison nails it week after week also,this is going to be close,but my money is on Allison.Good Luck!

Adam did not play it safe at all last night. (read Keiley, number 34) If anything, Allison did. Crybaby is not a particularly hard song to sing. Hello! Led Zep IS. Only Adam could pull that off. (Danny attempted to do something similar… but as we all know, failed hideously.) I think Adam and Allison were amazingly awesome in their duet. but if Allison was paired with Kris or Danny, it would’ve probably sucked.

u are right. alison very amatuer compared to adam. to all fans of either top 4, this all i can say Adam is already way ahead of them all coz hes already a pro. he got lots of experience when it comes to performing on stage. thats how he gots the audience attention he knows how to make them love him. and the others? oh poor kids i think sometimes theyre so nervous. theres still lots of things they should learn. but am sure if theyll given a chance theyll be much better than adam. u dont have to sing all kinds of songs to be a good singer. so good luck to all of u may the best one wins. I think most people already forgot the name of a 16/17 year old girl who won the Idol title 2007? Unfortunately that’s the exact example. As a female singer you can’t just sing well. Randy has never liked Danny from the begining. The two women Judges look like they want to jump on Adam on the stage and do freaky things and Simopn well hes just Simon.

THANK YOU JUDAS and TAURUS. Like everything else on this site a few have intimidated and pushed others off who don’t have their secular progressive views. One even calls herself a christian. Her definition of christian isn’t what Gods is. God loves the sinner but hates the sin. He’s very clear on homosexuality, you obviously haven’t read about Sodom and Gomorrah in the Bible. Where do you think the word sodomy comes from?? God has a standard and a way and the only people who are brutalized in this culture are the true CHRISTIANS. Stand up for anything good and decent and GOD HONORING and you’re intolerant, or homophobic, or bigoted. DANNY & KRIS are my picks because our kids need decent roll models who will lead them to Christ.

I think some people give Jesus a bad rap. Some evangelcials and born-agains whom I know say simlar things that you have pointed out in this post. I dont see many of you on this board standing up for what is “good, decent and God honring…” what I see is a few folks spewing hate, implication, vulgarity and jealousy toward an indivdiual based on rumor and physical appearance. Is this god honoring? What would Jesus do?

No, that is not what Jesus would do. Jesus would share the truth in love, which is what I tried to do. Jesus was crucified because people, by nature, don’t want the truth, they want their desires, whatever they may be. The other people you are referring to about hate, vulgarity, etc. weren’t honoring God. People are funny creatures and we do jump to conclusions based on appearances and rumor. However, most of us portray who we are in our dress and appearance. Would you agree that name-brand clothing is a multi-million dollar industry because people want to portray an “image” by wearing those name brands? Would you agree that if a girl wants to entice a man, she dresses sexy? What we do, conservative or flambuoyant, conveys a message. I don’t want to hurt anyone with my words or deeds. I don’t like fighting. All I pointed out was that our culture has turned from a God honoring culture into a culture that has thrown off all restraints and standards and we are suffering for it. We see it in our children and our schools. Would you agree that something is wrong? TS, whoever you are, man or woman, you have a good mind and a good heart. I can tell. I can’t prove to you I have a Masters in Biology so whatever you choose to believe, that’s your choice. It’s more important to me that you believe I’m a born again christian that loves my savior and wants only to live for and please HIM. He does have a standard, and even though he loves us all, and died for us all, there will be a judgement on all those that mock and reject Him. I’m not trying to argue with you, I’m only sharing the truth. If all of us go to Heaven no matter what we do, why would Jesus have to die? HE is the way the truth and the life.
