American Idol 2009 Top 3 - Songs & Guest Stars
May 11th, 2009 American Idol, Season 8,This week on American Idol 2009 there are just three remaining singers after last week’s elimination of Allison Iraheta. There is just a little over a week to go in the season with the Top 3 performing Tuesday and the Top 2 performing next Tuesday.
Tuesday’s performances will be double trouble when the judges pick a song for each contestant and the contestants each pick one for themselves.
Wednesday’s results show will feature the return of former Idol winner, Jordin Sparks who will be performing “Battlefield.”. Also singing that night will be Katy Perry with “One of the Boys.”

Adam is an immense talent. I hope Danny goes home and the finale is between Kris and Adam. Talent wise, neither of the other contestants come close to Adam, though I think Kris is pretty talented himself!

I also think Danny is really limited and will only be a Christian music recording artist. ‘Dream On’ was a disaster which showcased his lack of range. I hope people vote based on talent and singing ability and not based on religious views and other irrelevent determinents.

Adam is in a league of his own! His talent and his versatility by far surpass everyone elses. Gokey is 1-dimensional, I can see him singing Christian music only. I’m very bored with him. Kris is talented, but again, doesn’t come close to Adam!

Laurie - I would agree that Adam is in a league of his own, but probably not the elite one you think. He has a following; no doubt about that. But when it comes to singing, I think both Kris and Danny are better. They do what they do without all the flamboyance and fake persona. I just like that better!

If you heard Adam sing without ever seeing him, would you still think he was the best? You wouldn’t. You’re all hung up on the visuals. And as far as voting for Danny because of religious views, that’s hardly irrelvant. We are who we are, and we like who we like BECAUSE of who we are.

Even with not seeing Adam, I wouldn’t care for his vocals. I am a “70’s rock chick” and at least then there was actual SINGING going on! Adam is talented, I give you that, but it’s in the theatrics, he’s over the top, and hits his high register way too often. And the visual doesn’t even help. Sorry.
When it comes down to singing, Kris and Danny both have a shot, but I would have to go with Kris purely on marketability. I really think he has more of a mass appeal and will sell more CD’s over the long run.
This week should be interesting to see which songs the judges pick for the guys and what songs they pick for themselves. It will be very telling!
…. and that’s just my opinion!

No doubt Adam is talented, but votes did not favor him. Despite Kris Allen’s mediocre performance and limited vocal range, last two weeks witnessed him topped Adam — Kris emerged 3rd from bottom the previous week as opposed to bottom 2 for Adam, and announced first to get through to top 3 last week. Although judges’ comments on Kris performance were mixed, the fans are behind Kris. Since votes matter the most, I predict that either Danny or Adam will be leaving.

FYI, none of us like Adam for his looks!! I mean, of COURSE he’s yummy, but that’s not why we like him at all. Get a clue. I didn’t even know who was singing when i fell in love with Adam’s voice. I wasn’t looking at the screen and i was barely paying attention. But then he hit that one note in Believe…. it was magic.

And Ryan said like 5 times last week “In random order…” before he gave the results. It is SO obvious Adam was at the top. Danny behind him. Then Kris, then Allison. I think Kris is the second most talented there. Better than Danny, of course. People are mainly only voting for Kris for his looks, anyway. Everytime some one compliments Kris they always have to add “And he’s cute, too.” Can’t they get through one sentence without menchaning his monkey face???

It is really hard, all three guys deserve to win!!! They are all talented & have great voices……. They were my favourites from the start, so who will go and who will stay……?? Adam will definitely stay, no argument there. It is really tough…. Chris is more musically talented than Danny but Danny has a great voice …….. I just can’t seem to pick… I would buy both their music

Maybe it’s me, but I just don’t get the big hype about Kris. He’s just mediocre, actually I find his performances boring, then you got Adam who’s way over the top, and Danny. I actually think this season’s final 3 are not interesting at all. Really don’t care who wins.

Look the hype about Adam is all for ratings, even on Oprah today Simon said Adam will win. Thats crazy the votes aren’t in yet. Yes Adam can sing but without all the flash he’s equal to Danny and Kris who have played it straight from the beginning. if you really wanted to give someone your vote give it to Kris he really has all the true tallent.

Danny to win… He is a genuine guy with a great sense of humour. Plus he can sing… He chose the wrong song and everybody starts criticising him… Thats not fair. Take into account the past few performances where he really showed he has a neat set of pipes.

Top Three Breakdown.
Kris-has charm, good musician, good looking but he wont win because he is to predictable, when he gets out of his comfort zone he is just okay.
Danny-has charm, is talented but is riding on a wave of sympathy but he wont win because he is to predictable also and he lacks stage presence.
Adam-has charm, looks, stage presence, intellegence, and amazing voice. He will win because he is making the smartest song choices, he can sing any genre. He is very unpredictable, you never know what you are going to see!

Definitivamente Adam Lambert debe ser el ganador. Su voz es insuperable, ocas personas pueden llegar a tener esa voz, sus altas tonalidades son solo alcanzadas por verdaderos genios del canto. Segundo (2°)lugar para Kriss, tiene clase, don de artista, sobrio, tranquilo, sencillo, en fin, tiene todas las cualidades que reune un artista. El tercero (3°), pues el que queda… Danny, que en mi opinion debería estar Allison en vez de Danny. Una lástima que Allison no haya quedado entre los tres primeros.

So pls dont fight and say bad things about these marvellous contestants who have given us so much. Maybe the best one does not win according to your taste.. but you will have all chances to support your idol in his/her future life by buying albums and attending concerts.)

Kris is going to win! He’s won already!!!! The only one left in the compitition with no praise or profiling from the judges or American Idol. He’s done it all on his own. Isn’t it funny from week to week we know all about Danny and Adam because thats who the judges are promoting but, poor Kris gets no attention from the show or it’s judges. He’s the perfect person left in the competition to represent as an American Idol in the true sence of the word.
I pretty much agree with Simon every season, and I have not been wrong yet with whom I have choosen at the beggining of the season to who will win. Hopefully I won’t be wrong this year!
America Loves Kris and thats who buys the records and who goes to the concerts so Simon give some praise where it is desereved because you’ve missed the boat with Kris this season.

If it is not Adam Lambert, this is the last time I will ever watch idol. I lost interest in Idol after Taylor Hicks. Adam is the only reason I am watching Idol this year. If you think of all the super stars, CHER, Madonna, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Celine Deonne, Tina Turner, the Stones, Beattles, Queen I could name more, they all perform over the top. They are different from any other entertainers. Unique, special. Not everyone likes all of these performers, but no one can deny their super stardom. When Adam said he wants to be a roll model for all those kids that do not fit the mold I wanted to kiss him. I have a son the same age as Adam (his name is Adam for 2-22-1982) that never fit the mold and he is an amazing adult. I hope Adam Lambert always remains caring and kind and not let all this attention go to his head like some performers. Good Luck Adam. You have my VOTE, VOTE, VOTE.

This season has been really hard to predict. All three left are really good. I believe Adam will win. He has Elvis Presley eyes, very sexy and every song he sings is unique. I really like Danny Gokey too. Kris is okay and I think he will be the one to leave this week. Adam Lambert–#1; Danny Gokey–#2.

I think Danny will go home this week. Although I wish Adam would go. I do not get what all the fuss is about. He is the predictable one. Yes he has a good voice but that is only when he is not screaming into the microphone. Can only handle one song then his voice just gets annoying.

Writing from England sadly not able to vote. I am firmly behind Kris as the most interesting musically of the three and the most versatile who else plays piano and guitar. Look how he made ‘She works hard for the money’ his own and also the John Lennon song on rock week. Simon has already apologised to Kris on a results show after watching a repeat of one of the shows where he had previously hammered Kris’s performance and changed his mind. Adam looked like a Karaoke version in the rendition of the Led Zeppelin song, I think he was acting the part of a rock singer, he adapts himself like a chameleon for each song but you don’t really know who he is!
I would buy a CD by Kris watch Adam on the TV and think of Danny a really nice guy.

People who know music and understand it should give their comments, Simon is particular about his criticism, he knows what he says and therefore for the first time on American Idol he is actually praising Adam who deserves to win the competition. He is a fantastic vocalist, has style, projects his songs perfectly…hands down Adam is a winner

Whether Kris wins or not, if he is gonna release an album definitely will have people buying them as he is not the visual-type of singer, plus he clearly dabbled with different music pieces. Love him as a musician.
Among Danny and Adam, I rather Adam, at least Adam is more refreshing as a TV persona. Danny is simply overrated, and at most church singing level. I just don’t see his ballads anywhere near unique and rich in emotions. His smugness is something I can’t stand too.

He is the most current and his genre is more appealing to the public. Hope people will realize that Kris deserves yo win. Adam, no doubt he is talented singer, he is been doing that for years. What do you expect , a veteran….hope he will sell his records. Visually, he can entertain, rocks the house but merely listening to his music …. noise and purely screaming. I think Adam is the best singer of this season but he is a rocker and some people are not into rock anymore.I myself listen to rock, blues and alternative mostly and think Adam is awsome! It shouldn’t matter what sex he prefers. There have always been gay singers and there always will be ,just like in all other parts of life.Adam is the best and should win! You sound very truculant and angry when you bring up Adam’s sexuality. I want to ask you a SERIOUS question. Does the thought of Adam being bi or gay turn you on somehow, and maybe you are not able to deal with it? Are you bi? If so, there is nothing to be ashamed of. You seem very intimidated by Adam’s prowess and angry when you talk about adam’s sexuality which you seem to hyper-focus on. I assume you are either Bi or gay. You don’t have to confess now on this board. Just know that it is okay. Be who you are and don’t hide your sexual orientation from the world. Many gay and bi men lead fulfilling lives. Go Adam!! If Danny wins, I will never watch Idol again. It would be the biggest Idol upset in the history of the show. What a let down if chubby, sympathy mongering, crooked teeth, yawn-fest, one dimensional, can’t hold a note, can’t hit high notes, chokey kareoke Gokey grabbed the crown. Adam is over-rated wannabe. He can only rock and lacks versatility. Thus, he keeps doing rock every week, not sticking to the theme for the week. My goodness, he even rocked a country song. His style, though full of antics and melo-drama, won’t last long. He failed to realize that many of the viewers don’t appreciate the rock music. Thus, he got the bottom votes one time. AI is not only for rockers.

Kris Allen will win the AI Season 8 and live up to the spirit dreams do come true. No doubt that both are very talented but l believe Kris still have some remaining element of surprises that he pull out tonite. To come this far both are in the equal zone. Most of us and judges and Simon didn’t expect Kris to reach to the final. Lots have said and done to ensure Adam gets into the final. For Kris, he has been trailing all the while and tonite will lead and be crowned the AI Season 8 and proved to everyone that even he is going against all odds he can still win and live up to the spirit and dream of the American Idol.

I feel that Adam is a LION KING of the human race and his time to make a big difference has come and I also feel that the Kris fans will support him until next year.
