May 13th, 2009 American Idol, Results, Season 8,Tonight on American Idol, the elimination results for this season’s Top 3 will be revealed…
So far the American Idol Top 3 Prediction Poll shows that nearly half of you think Danny Gokey will be eliminated tonight. I’d certainly be surprised, but not disappointed with that outcome.
Kris Allen is safe! Adam Lambert is also safe.

i think this is the first time in idol history that the show has been “spot on” with every single result show right down to the very end. danny was by far the weakest of these three, no superstar quality and really just a bore to watch. thank you america for sending him home. i’m thrilled to see the finale!

I can’t beleive that Kris was chosen over Dany. This should of voted on due to talent and it certianly wasn’t in my opinion. Kris shouldn’t have been in the last three and not in the last two. Dany is so much better.

Adam was already a professional performing on broadway. He will have a niche in hard rock with his screeching all over the place vocal range. Problem is he can sing and look normal, but refuses to do so because the young chicks scream for the wild him. Idol is for new talent America would not otherwise see and give a chance to. The final 4 were all great singers, but only 3 were non-professionals.

You stand corrected—Adam was never on “Broadway”, Broadway is in New York. Adam was an UNDERSTUDY only for an LA production of “Wicked”. Not the “Broadway” company. Get your facts straight, sore loser! Constantine was in “Rent” in New York prior to Idol, Carly Smithson had a record deal and cut a recrd prior to Idol, David Archuletta had a record deal prior to Idol as well….the list goes on!!

I couldn’t bear to hear Adam butcher another Aerosmith song. Always trying to sing just over the top of his vocal range. I’d never pay to hear him sing, too flamboyant, but might watch him in a broadway performance. A better actor than singer. Danny had vocal talent, but what a boring onstage persona - again someone I’d never pay to see. Kris always looks like he’s having fun. A pleasure to watch. Perhaps not as vocally talented as Adam but better overall than Danny.

Adam has been solid every week. People need to look past his looks etc. and focus on his real talent. I can’t wait to see what he is going to do every week. The screeching or screaming is b/c he is definitly a rocker but he can take a song and make it his own like no other. He just totally entertains. He has it all the voice, the stage presence, he is humble, appreciative, compassionate, he is dramatic, etc. My vote is for Adam and has been since the first show. GOOD LUCK ADAM!!!!!!

I agree that Kris will probably absorb the Danny voters. Adam had much more ego than talent. Could be an excellent singer if he learned to control his voice. Danny was just a snooze fest. He could sing, a lot of people can. All of his songs sounded the same. He just couldn’t perform. Both of them seemed to try to turn each song into an extravaganza. Kris just sings & does it well. Kind of Maroon 5 ish. Can’t wait for next week. Hope Kris takes it.

Well, I came on here to see who won because I decided to watch a dvd instead…got sick to death of the Rowanda stuff and fillers. Danny was truly a musician..had perfect pitch…made one wrong note in all his weeks performing. And what a sweetie too…such a nice, humble guy. So will miss that husky perfect pitch voice. Adam’s screaming in every song got way old for me long ago…it is so expected. I turn the volume down when I know it’s coming.
Kris is original. Not the best singer no and Simon keeps drilling over and over it’s a singing contest…so which is it? Originality contest or singing? I voted for Danny and Kris though…as I like original takes on songs…Danny did need some of that. Wish we could combine Kris’s style with Danny’s voice! But if over the top screamer wins I will be disappointed. He does need to be more of a Broadway type actor/singer though…they need those pipes there…but on a record? Can’t see his weird eyes and bulging tongue at least on a cd. I predict Kris will win…the girls are sure crazy about him and they vote over and over. He’s married girls and Adam is gay…your only chance was with Danny.

Those of you being critical of Gokey and where he comes from should probably do some research into the kind of person he is and the number of charities that he is involved with. He is not only a great singer, but he is a great human being who contributes a lot to society outside of the shallow world of celebrities. He’s going to be just fine, even if he does have to spend some of his life in boring old Wisconsin. His heart and soul are in the right place. Congratulations Danny!!!!

When I first heard Adam sing I knew he was a star rising. But then I heard Danny and knew there would be an awesome show this season.
I like Kris he is adorable, but not enough to have placed him in the top 2.

Kate Perry - whoever the hell she is - displayed Adam Lamberts name AFTER the votes were cast so had no influence on the result.
Bottom line: Kris Allen’s “Heartless” was the best performance of the night. Adam Lambert was the best overall based on the two songs all three sang.
The #3 overall performance was Danny Croaky who should have been eliminated in the Final Four night but lived to fight another day at the expense of AI - funny she had the same initials as American Idol.
Of the Top 4, Danny Croaky will be the least successful.

I realize God has had a helluva lot on his collection plate lately, plus watching out for winners only of Grammy awards and major sporting events, but thank Jebus Price he finally found the time check out American Idol this week and even he said enough is enough: “GOKEY IS A JOKEY!!”
In April 2009, Gorkey even got beaten for Best Christian/Gospel Artist of the Year in his own home state of Wisconsin! God must have been away again having another week off!
It’s sad that his wife died under tragic circumstances, but his background story far outweighed his singing ability. Boring as batshit comes to mind. Gorkey and Kris remind me of when you are on an ocean cruise and there is someone singing way in the background, but you’re having too a good a time to turn around and have a look.
Adam has more talent than both in his little finger.

I was all for Danny & Adam. I really dont think that the “Danny” votes will go for Kris. My vote is all for Adam. Some of Adam’s song’s have been what I guess close minded people would call “Screaming”, “Wierd”, “Feme” or whatever. I think he is a very unique artist. I’m not bitter about Danny leaving I think he will have people at his door wanting to sign him. If Kris wins over Adam I think I will die laughing at close minded americans!

Adam is a flash, just like Ahh what’s his name. Oh, yeah like that big black guy, what’s his name? Or that other girl, Fantasy? No that’s not it, it was franticly. Man I can’t remember her either.
In short, Danny you can (and will) remember, Kris maybe, Adam heard today forgotten tomorrow.
But I have seen this over the past few years and Idol is again a major disappointment. Kara just drove me up a wall, the rest of the judges, no problem. I have had enough of this. There is more to life than this RIGGED show. Over the past few weeks the “engineering” that the Idol folks do, with the busy signals when you vote and the dropped calls, etc. Guys it is getting a bit obvious. The AI junkies voted and, based on their expensive votes (some claimed to have voted 200 times so I hope their parents will pay the bill and not deduct it from their allowance) decided that the Top 3 would be Adam, Danny & Kris.
Based on the two performances of the Top 3, Kris and Adam deserved to be the Finalists.
Adam may be the most gifted artist ever seen on AI and will have a great future whatever happens next week.

Emotional language or cursing others could only hurt yourself even more in return. Up to current stage three of them all have large fan base. Vote counts should be very close as Ryan said only one million votes difference out of 88 million votes in total. Since the show starts it is predicted that Adam and Danny will be the final two and most people are looking forward to the finale. I am completely satisfied with the results. American Idol is about who will become the next best selling artist. Being an artist, you have to take risks and make songs your own. Adam Lambert and Kris Allen have the courage and ambition to do that.
Danny Gokey has an incredible voice, but I felt that he just isn’t relevant in today’s music scene. Kris definitely deserves to be in the top 2 after his incredible rendition of Kanye West’s “Heartless.” It was bold and that is deserving of the title. I am still pulling for Adam, but am so disappointed that Americans still have so much hatred and prejudice for someone that doesn’t conform to what society feels he should. GO ADAM LAMBERT!

Kris in the finale?! I couldn’t ever remember who the hell he was until there were about 6 of them left. Danny blows Kris away and Adam is hands down the most talented performer they’ve ever had on American Idol. And what’s with all the uneducated, close minded teenie boppers saying Adam screams? Don’t be jealous that he can hit notes Kris could only dream of hitting. Adam blows Kris out of the water. That’s not an opinion, just a plain and simple fact. It’s scary to think someone as boring as Kris actually has a chance at winning. But that’s what the majority of our country is composed of, boring preppy people that all look exactly the same and don’t appreciate originality and true talent. Look at what tops charts, rap and pop, the two most worthless genres of music that requires 0 talent. I’m not a big fan of AI, until I see Adam Lambert, he is the complete package, good look and great voice. I like Danny too though, it’s sad to see him go, as I thought it is gonna be Danny and Adam at finale, but of course Adam will have my vote for Number 1. I am not surprised Danny left at all. I was hoping for an Adam Danny finale because I have always liked Danny. The problem is he wasn’t stepping it up every week.. The week he did disco I think where he really let loose is what he should of done last night instead of playing it safe. I hope the people who were hoping for a Danny/Adam finale will vote for Adam and help us out!! There have been strange things to happen on this show with the finale and we need your help!! Don’t be mad at the Adam voters you should really be pissed at the Kris voters! The thing with Kris is he would of been gone last night however his rendition of his song choice with the guitar brought it home for him. He really stepped it up hence that is why he is staying. I can’t figure out if Danny fans are upset that Kris “stole” his spot or that Adam is so much more talented than Danny. They seem angry at both Kris and Adam….hurling insults. Danny did very well making it to the top 3. While I think Adam is the best by a country mile, others prefer Danny or Kris. So, if you think Danny got cheated and that he is the best–you may be correct. Only time will tell. Look at Daughtry or Jennifer Hudson or Clay Aiken for that matter. The “best”, as any one person may perceive it, does not always win. True in politics too!

Shay you need to learn some lessons in what music is all about. For the love of god Adam does NOT SCREECH… it is a singing technique that he can pull off with ease. Look it up on line… so you must think Stephen Tyler, Axl Rose, Robert Plant, and any of the great rock singers are screechers also?? Don’t hate, it is not flattering. Stop being ignorant go research vocal technique (I am sure I will just to prove my point) and enjoy the show. We know the finale will be great just to see two really good performers sing. The top three were all fantastic. I would even say those three are better than several off the american idols who already won. I am very dissapointed that Danny is out. I had thought from the beginning that it would be Adam and Danny. I do have a music background as well as my daughter. We both felt they were the better singers. Kris is too ordinary. The girls are just picking him for his looks. Adam and hopefully Danny will make it big even if they don’t win, but Kris won’t. After the dust passes so will he.

It’s gonna be Kris the next AI. The votes for Danny(in millions) will be shifted to Kris and not to Adam because he is a “total pakage” as a musician and a performer. Ryan mentioned that only i million votes the difference between Adam and Kris votes. Considering the miliions of votes supposedly for Danny, that’s a lot to make Kris to become the AI for this season.

Thank God hokey Gokey is gone. All his songs sound alike….heard one, heard them all! He was so bad the last two weeks. How can a person who has never been in the bottom 3 get sent home, did he lose because people assumed others would vote for him. I live in a country that couldn’t vote. I would have voted for him and we picked the top 3 at the start, only problem is that they sent Alison home instead of Kris. I wanted Danny to get to the top 2, but had a feeling it would be an Adam/Alison finish. What a crock, the judges should not comment on the top 3 performances, they should let the public decide for themselves, their comments can sometimes bias the voters.

As a rock singer Adam is the best hands down, Danny and Kris could not compete. Creatively Kris outshined both Adam and Danny, Vocally, who can make an album best on singing talent alone, that’s Danny. Given the 3 you named, I’d have to go with Adam Lambert in all 3 categories you mentioned, ESPECIALLY raw talent. Danny had a strong voice. Kris has a very pleasant voice and knows how to interpret songs to his style–Adam is just much more versatile then both men and offers superior vocals to boot. I voted for Kris Tuesday night for the first time. Before I had voted for Allison and sometimes even for Adam. I liked his song Ring of Fire and his disco performance. Tuesday I liked the way Kris sang his songs better. He is more contemporary. I did not like the way Adam’s songs sounded. They both sounded the same to me. I will watch next Tuesday and vote for the person whose songs I like better based on their performance and how they sound. By the way why do some people have to use such foul language to express their thoughts?

It’s a simple arithmetic and politics, on who’s gonna win in the final and be the nxt AI. AI is a popularity contest and a political exercise too because of the voting. And to win in a popularity/political contest like this, it should be “addition” or “multiplication” and not “subtractiion” or “division”.
To make Adam or Kris wins in the final and be crowned as the new AI, either of Adam or Kris must be able to get the large chunks of Danny’s fans votes, in millions.
Thus, it’s now the votes of the Danny’s fans, which are the deciding factor on who’s gonna be the next AI. It’s no longer who’s the better performer, singer, etc etc. In fact, the performance of the two next Tuesday are already “moot and academic”. It’s the votes of Danny’s fans which matter now.
So, my advise to both Adam’s and Kris’s fans, be nice now to Danny(he is no longes in the competition) and stop bashing him already, so that you can sway to your side the votes of his millions of fans. Stop adding “insult” to the “injury”, if you would like your bet to win the final.

This is a singing competition and the best singer by far is Adam Lambert. I don’t know if you have these rules in America but here in Australia we have anti-discrimination laws - in other words we are not allowed to ‘insult ‘ people of ‘difference’. It is not uncomman here for musicians to wear make up or paint their nails etc. It’s called “showbiz”…Also what about David Bowie/Kiss/Green day, to name a few - all great musicians. So please leave Adam alone. He is brilliant. He is outstanding. He deserves to be American Idol.

If Danny has been voted off, i’m very disappointed, he has the best singing voice & vocals without a doubt, I would say if Simon is looking for a recording artist, Danny should be the one. Adam is a showman and very exciting to watch, has stage presence(looks very much like a young Elvis Presley) and also has a good singing voice although that screaming & screeching drove me nuts. Kris is a talented musician and has a good voice too yet he didn’t impress me as much as Danny did.

I’ve been watching American Idol here in England and we are a day behind with the results, so was rather sad to read from your comments that Danny was voted off as I believe he had a wonderful voice and I think Paula did him a disservice with her choice of song. Still, I will be watching the show tonight and am sure Adam will give us something to smile about, he has a huge stage presence and his performance is delightfully shocking (without the screeching of course). I would have voted for Danny and Adam came second, however Kris is also a very talented instrumental musician although a very ordinary vocal artist.

The way I analyzed the voting trend, should Allison the one remained in the top three instead of Kris, Danny will be the AI contender in the AI final, because the votes of those who love rock music will be split betweem Adam and Allison.
What happened here, is the votes of those who love pop-ballad-R&B, was split between Danny and Kris.
There is also the time factor/limit(2 hrs to cast millions of votes, whew) and geographical consideration in votings. I just can’t imagine the “traffic” and “chaos” of fans making phone calls.
In closing, AI is not really a musical talent competition but purely a popularity/political exercise. Popularity/political, because it’s a matter of musical taste. People will support contestant based on their music preference not really on talent. Votes will be “divided” or “added” depending on the number of contestants of same genre or style remained in the competition. That what had happened last Tuesday voting.
Who’s the winner here, Adam or Kris? None, of the above. It’s FOX, the producer and AT&T. AI is a business venture in itself with the aim of making huge profit out of the people musical talent. In a way, it is helping in generating economic activity every Tuesday night, because avid fans were lured to shell-out their few dollars(saving) to vote for their “Idol”.
What a way for fans to momemtarily forget the economic difficulties of the present time.

2009 American Idol voting system and song choice made by judges was not fair for Danny. Judges song choice system should be fair to all participants. “Dance Little Sister” by Terrence Trent Darby is actually a good choice for Danny and I honestly think he did a good job–if you listen to Terrence Trent Darby (which clearly not many people have since about 1989), the sound quality of his vocie is very similar to Danny’s. The problem is the song is largly unknown,was never very popular even the year it was released and the arrangement was a bit too fast–none of this was Danny’s fault. Danny sounded quite good. I do not think Paula sabotaged him–I truly think she chose this song thinking it would be a perfect match for his vocals–it is–the song is just too obscure. Remember, Paula was popular during the late 80’s and very early 90’s so this is not surprisng that she’s caught in that time warp musically.
As far as “One” for Adam–and I love Adam—I wasn’t crazy about the arrangemnt.”One” is a great song, but I would have chosen something comletely different for Adam.Still, his vocals were impecable as well.
Danny has a nice vocie, but as some have said–it is a popularity contest at some point and Danny was a bit more off-putting that the other two guys–not his fault–justs a reality.

More should read Chrys comments. Right on the button there. AI has become more about the business and a popularity contest. Too many people now voting on looks rather than on singing ability. This should be a singing contest and voters should look past just one good song. Singers have good and bad weeks. Sometimes due to wrong song choice. Lil Rounds and Danny were the top two singers at that start of the competition. Wrong song choices and everything can change. Voters need to look at the winner being versatile and able to produce a cd album and future albums that have a blend of styles/genres and appeal to a cross section of listeners. This year has produced a top ten who were of high talent and it would have been nice if they all could win but there can only be one winner of AI. In my book they all are winners. The top four were good but I believe the top three should have been Allison, Danny and Adam. Kris has a nice manner, looks and a nice ballad voice, but he doesn’t have the voice to cut the mustard in other genres outside of has niche as a pop/ballad singer. He has proved this time after time when singing other genres and the judges have made comments on numerous occasions about this. Adam is great as an actor/singer but whether he can make it outside of his operatic/theatre experience and make a cd/cds that will be relevent in todays music industry remains to be seen. Allison is only 17 and what a voice. I think maturity let her down but age will produce a brilliant singer out of her. She has a great future ahead of her. Danny was more versatile and had a great voice. A couple of wrong song choices didn’t help his cause. Sorry to not see him in the final. He’s given 110% since day one and deserved to be there. Sure he didn’t have the looks as some of the others but he did have the voice. AI opens up a world of possibilities for contestants even if they aren’t the winner. There is a big list of contestants from previous Idol’s who have gone on to produce albums, gone on tours and have great music careers. So all the best to Danny and Allison. I hope Lil is able to make it too!

Adam, Allison and Danny have always been my favorites. I admit that Kris is very likable,especially for teenagers, but he is not as talented or ready to stardom as the other 3. The ideal finale would be between Adam and Allison. Nevertheless, even if Adam loses, he is the winner and the most talented singer of all AI seasons regardless of his sexual preferences (whichever they are)… In fact, part of his charm, sexiness and attractiveness is exactly the fact he is somewhat androgynous… he lets everybody guess what is nobody’s business. The journey of Adam, Danny and Kris in AI is only the start of their career in the entertainment industry.It’s up to them now if they’re to be successful or not in their field in the future and only time can tell. Each one of them has their own style to make a great career in the industry.
Adam, with his total performer package and rock genre could be the “King of Concert” or the Freddie Mercure or Elvis or Michael Jackson of the modern times.
Danny with his “vocal master class” per Simon, with powerful, husky, soulful-R&B style, could be the Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Matt Monroe,Jack Jones, Lionel Richie, Neil Diamond, Cat Stevens, Johnny Mathis, Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdink, Lou Rawls, Andy Williams, Perry Como, et al of the modern times. I am just wondering that music producers like Simon and Kara failed to recognize the huge opportunities awaiting for Danny in this pop-ballad-standard-classical/pop crossover genres. Except for Josh Groban or Michael Buble, no other young artist is taking this route.
With regards to Kris, he could take the easy-tune pop-ballad genre and he can be the Paul Anka, Cliff Richard, Neil Sedaka, Pat Boone, Donnie Osmond, John Denver, Barry Manilow, et al of the modern time. Again, no other young artist is taking this route.
Who’s going to last in the business and become a legend himself, just like Frank Sinatra whose career expands many generations, is up to them and their hard work. Franks’s “My Way” is one of the most popular songs in the world until now, which is timeless and a classic.

“Paula Hater” you are absolutely correct. Song choice was the key. Paula set Danny up and given the chance she will setup Kris. So, Kris watch your back and kick Adam’s butt. Frankly, as far as the “judging panel” goes the only one that has a valid opinion is Simon. Randy, maybe, but Simon is only the one that tells the truth.
Paula can be paid off with a shot of bourbon. As for Kara (who is she again?) just put a bag socks in that huge mouth and a bag over her head and get her off the show.

Kris and Kris’ friend, no need for fraud or false accusations. The whole Paula thing is for ratings. For the singing competition, both Adam and Kris deserve to be there. Kris’ song choice from Kara and Randy wasn’t so great either. Singers and should be able to sing anything. What if they are asked to sing duet with someone whose song they don’t know? They learn it. Blaming the judges for poor song choices is a cop out. BTW Adam did not do a nice version of U2’s ‘One’ either. It was all fair and the finale will definately be interesting.

The winner of the American Idol doesnt determine whether u are a great singer or not, it determines whether u are likaeble or popular amongst the teens of America, coz theyre the ones voting time and time and times again, so that they can put up huge posters of the cutest and most popular guy in their bedroom and adore it for hours on.
Along the years of growing up theyll find another cute guy to adore on and replace the Idol poster and this goes on and on untill they mature, get married, and have kids. Then their teen kids will follow the tradition, and it goes from one generation to another.
Will the Likeable and cutest Idol make tons of money? Of course he will. With the proper ingredients, add a bit of everyone-can-do-that talent, lots of cute smiles, good looks, and he’ll make millions of dollars!
As for artists with great vocals? I’m sure that 50 years from now, you can still hear their melodic voices singing on the radio.

In fairness to Kris, as I’ve metioned in my posting #124, he has also a great career ahead of him in the recording or entertainment industry in general. He has the personality and a talent of his own. He can take the easy-tune-pop genre as a start. Then, he could evolve to another genre as he get’s older. The opportunities awaiting for him is endless.
He needs only the right material, studio marketing backing and dedication to his craft. The same goes to Adam and Danny, by the way.
The music and entertainment industry is a huge business globally. Adam, Danny and Kris needs only to find their “niches” in this industry and focus on their strength and improved on their weaknesses, evolved thru “Continuous Improvement”.
Everyday, life is becoming stressfull and we need to unwind thru music of our likings and tastes. I, for one changes my music preference throughout the day. In the early morning, I want something upbeat to energize me, so listenning to Adam’s record is very good for this time.
In the afternoon or “siesta”, I prefer something light-music but upbeat also,so most likely, I will listen to Kris’s CD.
In the early evening while relaxing, listening to my inner-soul and reminiscing the things that happened during the day, I will listen to Danny’s cd while sipping red wine or champagne in my den. What way to end my day.
I thank the Almighty for the beautiful talents of Adam, Danny and Kris, they’d made my day a great day, everyday with their musics.
Thus, I will be buying for sure the cd’s of Adam, Danny and Kris in the near future.

No one worry about Adam’s future either. AI should be nervous now. It’s just another year of Idol. Fans quickly lose the passion after the show. Only those singers have the true talents, high market share and evenly distributed fan base will survive. Just like some News title said “Adam Lambert saved American Idol”. If Kris happens to win, then it’s AI should be worry the business including how to market and sale his record and CONCERT. Good luck then!

The judges all of them, do not know vocal expertise. Adam may be a STAR however uses his chin to treble instead of his diaphram. This is NOT a true vocalist. If you made his chin steasdy, all he would do is scream. I won’t watch the finals. This is a star and not a singing contest.

We are waiting for Adam to come to Europe at once:))) It is for sure, that only Adam has made an impact here. He is already very well known all over. All of Adam’s performances have been so fantastic. The others have been good too, but they are so far behind the true talent and charisma that Adam has. Adam is fantastic!!
I would be very surprised if Adam does not win.. but it might be due to your voting system..here we have have to pay for our votes..lol..abt one dollar per call. So no thousand calls, no advantage for those who have time to spend on the phone for ages.
Anyways.. waiting for the final with a small sad feeling as I would have wanted Allison to be in the finale with Adam.

I am sooooo sick of the adam haters. I am not sure why you think your hatred for Adam is valid in any way. I have watched american idol since its existence and I have never seen such hatred!!! The one thing I do know is the one’s that hate Adam for whatever reason are just making excuses because face it you really hate yourself!!! Nobody can hate someone that much without really knowing a person. YOU DON’T KNOW ADAM PEOPLE!!! You have only heard him sing a dozen times on this show called american idol. To ALL ADAM HATERS: Stop making excuses and say you hate his singing, his nails, makeup, the fact he may be gay.. you need to appreciate someone’s talent and music before judging him based on how he wears his makeup or if he is gay or not. Believe, the next Tuesday AI finale ia already “moot and academic”. It’s no longer a contest of talents but a “battle of numbers” in the votes. The “deciding” votes will surely come from the die-hard Danny’s fans, should they could be swayed to cast their votes either to Adam or Kris side.
The worst thing that could happen on Tueday night is for Danny’s die-hard fans not watching the AI airing and don’t vote at all. Thus, lower turned-out, lower TV rating, lower revenues for the producers and sponsors.
It would be a much better strategy if the “save” vote of the judges was reserved for the semi-finals. Thus, Danny could have been saved. Thus, 3 in the finals, much exciting competition, much higher votes turned-out, thus, much higher TV rating, higher revenues for the producers and sponsors of the show.

I think it is absolutely fantastic that Adam is in the finale! He should win as he is the only Idol who is supremely talented! I am also quite pleased that Kris was able to get in the finale as well! I think he will give Adam a real run for his money unlike Danny who would have been handing the crown to Adam. It is now a REAL competition! How exciting! So glad that Danny is gone. He was getting rather dull. Don’t you think?

Adam Lambert is a versatile singer. He can sing any song. Plus the mad vocals and whole range of notes! He has been original to the show…with his own arrangements and stuff. And he has been consistent every week! We all know that the judges love him. Even Simon! I believe that he should win AI. He deserves it.

The more I watch Kris the more humble a guy i think he is. Do i think he should win? No, I’m a die-hard Adam fan. But if he does, hey, he earned it. Whould i buy his CD? No, but he’s got a decent voice and he’s a nice guy.

i cant help myself writing here after reading ur posts. and i agree with u. sometimes i even think that they people in fox just used adam to attract more viewers. coz it seems that even the judges were not impressed with him. it seems that someone telling them what to say on every contestant after they sing. just observe their facial expression carefully when they give their comments. i dont know its just my observation. and i agree with u that if they save danny that would be more interesting to have three of them on the finals. more interesting if its danny, alison and adam. that would be really great. even adam and alison that would be very interesting cz its the battle of two rockers. and i will go with alison if its the two of them.

Ok adam is hands down the best singer…so this stephen guy needs to shut his mouth about adam being a screamer. Danny was a screamer we all figured that out rock week! My ears are still ringing. I promote alot of concerts and I will be the first to say I would take Adam over any of them hands down. TexasRose- First of all evangelicals have no problem judging other people for what they believe so yes they can go to hell because I have been judged plenty by them because I don’t think like them. Also I was making that statement because religion has gotten out of control of recent whether it is politics or a singing competition which is soo ridiculous to me. No people that hate based on some singing is absurd or judge by the way someone dresses and performs. However when someone goes out of their way to preach their slimy religious bull sh#t to me and judge me then I have every right to defend myself. Remember I am not the one who started that battle it was them the Gokey religious fanatics. I don’t sit here and hate on them first..they started it my dear. Hey fans—-coooollll, please don’t hate each other. AI is purely a “commercial entertainment” with aim of making TV rating and revenues. It’s not really a “true” talent competition.
For one, there is not even a set of criteria for judging, with point system. It’s all subjective criticisms and populist voting. Also, with due respect, the credentials of the present judges are not for “true” musical talent competiton. Second, is there an auditing(transparent) by a reputable firm of the results of the voting? Who count the votes?
I will be surprise if there’s none, because in other countries, just like lotto and other contests where huge monetary rewards are involved, these are regulated and properly auditted.
Thus, AI is just like a circus; it’s just for fun and entertainment. Please don’t make “idolatry” out of AI hopefuls. Just enjoy each show particulary the Tuesday finale. Again, it’s no longer a “battle” of talents but a “battle” of number of votes.
The hating and the curse words? Not worth it!!! Just have fun and be entertained.
To the voting fans, be ready with your home phones, cell phones, phone cards, ATM cards, etc etc. Exercise also your fingers everyday and rate your self on how many calls and text you could send every minute. Strategize, on how you can make that many calls in 2 hrs.
Finally, be nice with Danny and his fans. This is the only way your “Idol” can win the AI finale.

I live in England and am a big fan of American idol…..my top 2 were Adam and Danny…..It’s a shame Danny got voted off…he was vocally far more talented than Kris….to me,Kris is just ok….Alison i thought was far better……but the real idol this season IS Adam…..he is best the show has ever seen…..how many of u lot can “scream” in tune like that eh? his voice is nothing short of amazing … its just a shame i cant vote over here….we dont even get to see the actual show till 2 days after you americans..anyway i say go gooooo ADAM U ROCK!

I don’t mind Danny fans in fact I have friends that liked them both (adam and Danny) so a good chunk of them will vote for adam hopefully or not vote at all. I agree who knows how the votes are counted we never know that.. I hope adam wins and I will be voting like crazy. This is the first time that I have ever voted for someone. I don’t know what it is but Adam does something to me when he sings like no other has. I put him in a class with prince, Madonna, Freddie Mercury, and some of the other greats. How I wish a set of judging criteria is being used in AI to really judge the true deserving contestant based on their talent not popularity. Just for example:
Voice Quality(Tone, Pitch, Timing, etc) - 40%
Originality - 20 %
Stage Presence(Style) - 20%
Audience Impact -20%
Each judge will score each contestant based on these criteria. Then, the score of each judge will be averaged to come up with the final scores.This is the final score to be presented to the audience and viewers before the voting at the end of the show.
Contests like “Iron Chef America”, “Dancing with the Stars” has a scoring system, of their own. This the only best way to really judge who are the most talented contestant/participant of them all.
Subjective criticism from the judges of AI, has no value at all in a supposedly musical talent competition like AI. This only creates favoritism, confusion, hatred and too much commercialism at the expense of the contestants. This is what’s happening now, in my point of view.

The voting will be for four hours Tuesday–not just two–so vote for Adam the entire four.
Reagrding “kind of hoping Adam doesn’t win because 19E is not a good record Co.” Umm…..true, however, even if Adam loses (perish the thought) he will, most likely, be signed to 19E anyway. Do you think the ‘powers that be’ at Idol will let him slip away? Of course not! They guaranty the winner a recording contract, and stipulate beforehand to the Runners-up (probably the top 10) that 19E has a signing OPTION. In the past they have not really exercised this option, to my knowledge (it may be something newer added last season)–but with Adam–they would be crazy not to sign him. Hope he has a good lawyer.
Anway–Adam needs to win because he is MUCH MORE DESERVING than loveable Kris. Adam will be stuck with 19E either way.

I loved everyone in the top 5. Every one of them deserves it. It really boils down to music preference and like ability of the contestant. I personally will vote for Kris because I like his style of music better than Adams. He is quite a bit like James Taylor. He is also great at song arrangement & interpretation. Adam is too, but I just like Kris’ style better.
And I loved Danny. I supported him the most. An amazing, passionate singer. He definately received way too much trash talk over the internet. So undeserved. Being the person that he is though, he will have much success despite all the trials and bashing he has had to endure.

As a uk music lover - and fan of idol type shows - it’s got to be said that Mr Lambert is one of the most charismatic / talented and outstanding singers that have ever graced our tv screens - the show will be deemed a travesty if Lambert loses - not because of Kris winning ( a fab singer and worthy finalist) But because the USA cannot move beyond it’s narrow mindness and accept individuality and someone daring to be different - SO PLEASE USA- VOTE FOR KRIS ONLY IF YOU THINK HE HAS MORE TALENT - NOT BECAUSE YOU WANT ADAM TO LOSE

Don’t vote for someone just because you hate his opponent. That is a low point of reason. And people will get disappointed if that’s the reason why the others voted. We all know American Idol is a singing competition and the winner must know how to SING, PERFORM and have STAR qualities like Simon said. And yeah, at least be better than it than his opponent. And who deserves it the most from their performances. So vote wisely.
