May 19th, 2009 American Idol, Performances, Season 8,Tonight on American Idol 2009, the Top 2 performers, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen, will take to the stage and perform for one last night before the phone lines open and America places its votes.

I am sad, at the thought of this being the final week of American Idol. I am also excited, because, I think this may the best finals, EVER! I love Adam, and I am sure he will win! I have loved him from his first audition…….and he has always been fantastic! Every week! I am excited and anxious to see him in concert and to buy his music!

Kriss is very talented, their melodies are dreamy, sweet, soft …. Danny is a type more methodical with a beautiful voice, but in fact predictable failure at the end when a singer tries to be more original, more loose. … Adam is instead cultivated a talent, something different, with a voice with an impressive record, with a combination of charisma, as they say an Angel to win … well … aside from who wins AI or not, the longer it takes I was looking for, awareness and appreciation of the audience with supporters and detractors, he is a marketable product and the end … the main goal of this organization …. is to profit from the huge investment in each season … there is a wide range of public who buy his records … consume their products indiscriminately … … ..

Our family have all the phones charged and ready to vote for 4 hrs +5 minutes for our American Idol - Adam Lambert!!!!
This is the first time our family watched AI and vote for Adam. We believe someone up there knows how sincere we are and judge fairly Adam is the one who deserves to win the title.

Hmmmmm…It is not supposed to be people off the street. Kris was in a band and played at clubs and at concerts. Adam did musical theatre. If anything, Kris had the direct experience (as it relates to his performances), not Adam. Adam never cut a CD–you are wrongo dumbo! I did watch tonight to see if a would get a glimpse of Matt G and I did (YAY) As for tonight, I thought it was a B-O-R-I-N-G finale. Again, Adam the screamer, Kris the ordinary (never really thought he belonged in the finale) If I had to pick a winner for Season 8, I think it will be ADAM. Can’t wait for tomorrow to see the other idol contestants perform as a group.
Oh yeah, I thought Kara would pee her pants and Paula using in awe and iconic. lol

I decided to take a break from watching Dancing with the Stars, to read the latest comments, from tonights finals. I was surprised, to only see 17 comments…..maybe everyone is busy voting for Adam, I know I have been voting, with my home phone,and both my cell phones, I don’t want to take any chances, and not vote. Adam deserves to win, he was awesome, again tonight. And, he looked so fine, in that long coat. I am 52, and I simply think he is beautiful! My husband is jealous, which is kinda silly. Anyway, I know Adam deserves to win, and will make an awesome, IDOL! My grand children, my daughters, and I love him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Adam was profoundly better than Kris tonight. I have to assume it is discrimination if Adam does not win! His creativity and vocal range were astounding tonight and his work this season–untouchable! Man..if Kris wins he will be Idol fodder for years to come. Vote hard, vote long and please vote for Adam. He has worked so hard and done so incredibly well! What about the second song “A change is coming” Man…was that moving and inspirational!!

No! Keep voting and pressing redial. I got through on the 03 line 14 times in the first hour by pressing redial over and over and over although I got a busy signal or oculd nto get through 98% of the time. 14 votes is not great, but better than nothing. Adam is behind bya margin on Dial Idol so you need to keep dialing all night! Stupid Randy threw Adam under the bus tonight–must be because Adam actually could hit the high notes and Kris could not????? NEVER watch Idol again if Adam doesn’t win. KEEP DIALING!!!!!

The fact that rach #24 claims to have cast 426 votes shows how ridiculous the system is to chose a winner.
It is all down to who can vote the most in 4 hours and less to do with the performances tonight.
I thought Adam did not do as good a job on “Mad World” as he did last time and Kris did a better job on “Ain’t No Sunshine” than last time. After round 1 there was little to choose with it tilted toward Kris.
After that it was no contest. Kris showed a limited vocal range on both songs while Adam showed his exceptional range and better interpretation of the songs.
Frankly, I was not impressed with either Simon Fuller’s choices or the “Coronation Song” but Adam performed it the best.
Simon Cowell summed it up by telling Adam he would be an international star while Kris deserved to be on “this stage”.

come to think of this..adam’s voice is good but have you realized if u will have his records and ur going to play all of it…it was very annoying to hear his voice for the whole day with his super high note and screaming like a woman…but kris allen’s style is way too far from adam’s..adams voice and interpretation is too depressing…have you realized his songs? omg…i dont think im going to listen that on a radio…i think he belongs to stage but not on the radio and would be included in my playlist…omg!

i agree with u. I think the one whos gonna win is depends on how fast his fans can dial. Its not who can sing or perform anymore. This is really becoming very politics. And am amazed how hard adams fans compaigns for him. You know people if hes really he that good and a lot of people likes him, he gonna get most of the vote. So why worry too much. If theres only few people likes chris, then he will get less vote. and adam will win.
And please dnt compare adam to elvis. Have respect for one of the greatest singer. Maybe u should compare him to mick jagger or slash or whatever his name is. hes the neat version of them. or maybe after AI he will look like them as well.

If you refresh your screen 5 or 6 times, it will appear. Kris is still slightly ahead–probably too close to make a big impact, but Kris’ lead could increase. More evidence the voting system is flawed: On a ‘Dial Idol’ voting map, Adam (NOT KRIS) had Arkansas and Texas–and Kris(NOT ADAM) had the West Coast?? Seriously–this is what it indicated. Weird. I can guaranty that Adam has many more fans. As someone else said, it is not “American Idol” anymore, it is “American Dialing”. Many many more Kris voters cheated with Gizmo too. More fans equate to more record sales–and Adam clearly has a stronegr fan base across all demographics.

I have one huge concern…Dancing with the stars got it wrong last night..Cheryl and Gilles were clearly the judges favorites and everyone was sure they would win…
However, Shawn, the Olympic Gymnast won..She and her partner were clearly the under dogs but America Votes and the teeny boppers voted her in…That is too sad….GO ADAM!!!!!

Coraline - I think it’s very predictable that Kris would carry the west coast and Adam Arkansas. Why? Because the Adam’s of the world are a dime a dozen in California and you don’t see many of them in Arkansas. So, people vote for what they don’t get a daily diet of…simple as that! Also, I suppose you Adam fans will claim foul (you’ve already started flinging around the word “cheated”) if Adam doesn’t get the top spot tonight. Suck it up just like we’ll have to if Kris doesn’t win. Whether it’s the perfect system or not, it is what it is. I think people enjoy Kris because he is genuine, normal and his voice is much more pleasing to the ear. Not high pitched and screamy. He may not be the circus act that Adam is, but he is way more versatile and enjoyable.

Ya know, Marsha–I guess I could handle Adam losing to Danny or Allison since they have real talent and are different and not vanilla, every day talent– (while I believe Adam to be better than both)…but losing to Kris is almost comical and gives Idol no credibility. Why does America keep voting for mediocrity? Why can’t the best talent win for a change?
The system is flawed because Kris is from Arkansas and he has huge support base throughout that state. Ya really think folks from Arknsas will vote for Adam?? I laugh! West Coast is Adam friendly–I beleive he was strong there. Adam is a dime a dozen nowhere! His talent is rare–every mentor on the show agreed. You’re a Sore sport. You have one definition and many, many others have a different definition. So, calm down! I think all of you Adam fans need to get a grip. Yes he is a very talented singer but Kris is also. He may not be able to hit those ‘high” notes as you all say but his voice is a lot more soothing than Adams. We all have our own preference in music and I just happen to be one who does not like to hear the high screams and loud rock and roll. So all I have to say is Go Kris. I thought you did a good job. Kara also should not have written a song that she knew that Kris could not have hit those high notes with and she even admitted that it was to high for his range. It should have been a song that was meant for both singers voice range. It really was not a good song for either one of them. And they call her a writer! I hope Kris wins but if he doesn’t it will be O.K. Life will go on and I will still see his concert. We all have the right to vote and it is up to all the fans to vote for who they want so if Adam does not win it was because he just didn’t have the people voting for him like Kris did. Trust me it was not all teen age girls that voted for him. He has a very wide range of people who like him.

Both Adam and Kris performances in AI finale last night were dull and really not their best. As if, they’ve reached already their “saturation point”, thus tired and bored.
That’s understandable considering the so many weeks of AI perfomance already. I missed the “vocal masterclass” of Danny though.

After watching last nights performances, there is definately no doubt who should win the Idol crown. ADAM LAMBERT should win if everyone votes correctly. Kris was okay however not enough talent to win the title. Adam is such a great performer and we love how he can sing any song and make it Adam’s song. Come on Adam you have to WIN WIN WIN!! Those 4 “honorable” AI judges and “musical guru” sort of, always “preaching” to AI contestants about the right song choices. And yet, that finale song,”No Boundaries”, was really horrible. Even the songs chosen by Simon Fuller for Adam and Kris were also horrible. That’s unfair for both Adam and Kris.
That could be the reason why, last night finale lacks luster. Both contestants were really trying hard to give a good interpretation to the songs of which they don’t feel like singing.
Though they’d tried their best for the sake of competition and professionism. They’re really true artists themselves and stick to the rule, “The Show Must Go On”.
Congrats to Adam and Kris for your professionalism. More Power to both of you.

Kylee, I agree with you 100%. That song sucked. It was written for Adam. Kara and Paula have been salivating over him from the beginning. I’m sick of the “Adam deserves it” line. He doesn’t deserve it any more than anyone else. Each artist has their own style and you take it or leave it based on personal preference. I prefer Kris when I’m in the mood for his style. I prefer Adam when I’m in the mood for rock. Quit bashing both of these fine talents. I like them both and won’t be disappointed no matter who wins. They’ve given us a great season and each one deserves accolades.

i think neither kris or adam wants to win. coz if they win theyre going to have that boring song kara wrote for their first album. and it doesnt sound very good. someone say this is a very boring finale. i agree with that. good adam is still screaming or else everyone will be asleep by the time the program finish. i think even the audience. theres no more competition on this one. kris and adam just sing as if they dont care at all. and paula as always praising adam over the top. as if no other singer (prof. singer)can top him. by the way she always does that who ever she likes to praise. and i hate it if she overdone it. it look so cheap and corny

Kris sucks. He is boring and his fans cheated. He will never have any legitimacy and neither will Idol. He is a dime a dozen. Anybody in the top 10 except for boring Matt, Scott or Megan would have been better. He really is not that good. Say hello Ruben Studdard II–your new American Idol!!

I agree with Cate. I think Allison, Danny and of course Adam were ALL BETTER THAN Kris.WE laughed when Kris was up against Adam as it was a no-brainer that Adam would prevail. What we learned from the result was that this country has no brains! Kris is boring and now American Idol sucks. I’ll never watch this stupid show again. It should be renamed “Christian American Idol” or “Mediocre American Idol” or “Ordinary American Idol”–Take your pick!

I’m so thankful Kris fans are not bashing fans like Adams fans. Why can’t you Adam fans accept the winner and stop being soooooo hateful. You are not helping Adam at all by being so vicious. Its not the end of the world for you, Give kris a chance after all he war voted the American Idol by America. You don’t have to like him but why show your back side and bash him. Just think about it how would you feel???

You are sooooooo wrong! Kris fans realize that Adam is more talented and they feel threatened because he has more fans so they keep focusing on externals. Soooo cruel, they are! We al know Adam is a rare talent and so do the Judges, the produers and intelligent, tasteful Americans. Kris is a dime a dozen , hon. Sweet, nice and a good singer. But for him to be the AI is just plain silly. Sorry!!

Have you ever thought about adding videos for your weblog posts to have the visitors even more entertained? I mean I just went through the entire posting of yours and it was very great but since I’m way more of a visual learner, I found videos to be far more useful. well, let me know what you feel.
