American Idol 2009 Top 8 Performances Tonight
April 7th, 2009 American Idol, Performances, Season 8,Tonight on American Idol 2009, the Top 8 singers will take to the stage where they’ll be singing selections from the year they were born. I’m hoping for great picks out of this crew but who knows when they’re left to their own devices.
Now that Megan Joy Corkrey has finally been eliminated I’m really wondering who will fall to the bottom of the pile. I keep figuring that America will tire of Scott, but so far he’s been doing better than I expected, so what do I know!
Let’s start hearing some guesses on who will be this week’s top performer. Be sure to vote in the American Idol Top 8 poll and then leave your comments below to battle it out for your favorite!

I can’t wait for tonight. Go Matt go! Hope you picked a real GOOD song. But you sound good to me each and every time you perform dispite what Simon says. Very talented and smooth vocals. Consistant every time. Not a freak like Adam, not ordinary like Kris, not a screamer like Danny, not boring like Anoop, just different from Scott, and don’t really care for the girls.

I agree Brandi, with your comments. I love Matt, I think he sang well last week and I’m glad he was not in the bottom 3 (he looked like he was going to lose it the week before!). I think he’s one of the best of who’s left. Go Matt Go!

Now you need to stop your lies for you Randy to say that boy had the best vocals of the night with all that pitchiness you should be ashamed (the one that did Stevie Wonder). This show is becoming a disgrace. All of you should be ashamed. I’m through watching and I hope Lil get’s the fattest contract with a major producer/ Label because the bashing is ricidulous. I’m through with your show

Allison, Matt, Anoop was best of the night, and Adam was one of the best too, see as long as he is not screaming he is able to sing.
Scott please go home, you are a talented guy on playing instruments but you are annoying as vocal.

Well, first of all sabrina talk about bashing, you obviously don’t know what pitchiness is cause there was none in Matt performance. Randy atleast works in the music industry and he knows good vocals when he hears them. Props to Adam because he wasen’t screaming tonight and sounded good but my vote still goes to Matt! That’s what it’s all about… competition. Awesome awesome job! Matt

I think Adam;s performance was by far the best. I was bawling by the time he finished. He got cheated, by running out of time by the judges

Same here about Adam’s performance tonight. I also Tivo’d tonight and was looking forward to his performance like always and all of a sudden it was cut off and I dont even know what song he performed. Someone please let me know where I can go online and get to hear and watch his time on stage. OUT OF TIME, THIS IS NOT FAIR TO NOT GET TO HEAR ADAM. Someone help me here.

John: Adam sang “Mad World” originally sung by Tears for Fears, but this version he sang is closer to the version sang in the Donnie Darko movie.

Fox producers suck. Get your f—–g act together. Professionals should be able to keep the show on time. I recorded the show on DVR and missed Adams performance. I hate Fox for their moronic “news” channel and now this. FU.

Danny is the new American Idol by far he has it all going on. Adam is to comon Danny his songs everytime gives me goose bumps not many singer can do that.Adam and his pitchy voice goes rigt through me.

For you that missed Adams song LimeWire will have all songs from last nite to download! I tried itunes as Ryan S said you could download idol songs for free. All songs are charged! Did I miss something? LimeWire has been real good lately with no virus’s. Thanks!

Americans never cease to amaze!! To even think of Danny as an idol is a DISGRACE and only shows the shallowness of Americans. It is Adam and LiL and Allison that are the idols.

Adam was good, but he copied it exactly from the “Gears of War” commerical. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7Ig2JJRpdo check it out. Lil and Scott will join Matt in the bottom 3. Matt’s song wasn’t as good as the judges said. Allison is that good, she is the female version of Adam. The top 3 at the end will be Adam, Allison, and Danny. Kris will be #4, while Anoop will sit at #5. Sorry, that is just the way it is. Lil has a good singing voice, but her performances are worst the Scott’s singing. So take Scott’s singing, vs. Lil’s performance and the way she sings the songs, who is worst? Besides, Scott won’t go home tonight because votefortheworst.com is backing Scott. Lil will be sent packing. Votefortheworst.com couldn’t save Megan last week because the producers rigged it. They commented that they were tired of her performances. Watch and see, I’ve been right every week thus far.

Adam’s performance was excellent as it was everything the judge’s are asking for. He sounded great, too. Gokey has a great voice and sounded good–but he is kind of boring. Maybe he peaked?
Anoop has perfect pitch and sounded quite good, though he lacks in other areas. Kris was not good and I think Matt was given too mcuh credit for his mediocre performance. Allison, as usual, was over-rated (one of two females who need to be retained so the judge’s go crazy over her). She is boring, despite her emo outfits and her 1995 flaming orange hair. Oh, okay, I get it, Allsion….”You’re cool”

Because of the many screw ups - this season will be my last. The TIVO mystery lapse, the show overrun, great talent being lost while “cutie boys” stay on, and tonight we saw (once again) Simon’s pompous British attitude took charge and made the wrong decision. With the USA count so close (less than 30K) and the judges split 50-50. Scott should have had another chance at it. The extra week would have meant nothing to the judges - but everything to the contestant. You blew it Simon. I am done with the show. I am not even going to buy a Ford now - maybe a Japanese model!

About Adam.. who is by far the very best of all to my opinion.. Adam should not have taken part this Idol competition at all.. he should have been in the American talent competition. Adam was already a complete artist when this Idol show started. I have always enjoyed watching the competitors’ learning progress in such a short time. That is very inspiring. But that is not the case of Adam as he is what he is, you like him or you do not..In the American talent competition he could have shown ALL of his talent which would have not been restricted by the narrow rules of Idol competition.. so he’s talent is sort of wasted now!
I do love all the rest of the competitors also.. especially Kris;)))

adam is by far the best. his range and diversity has outshone all competitors bar none. he is my choice for 2009. the red haired young thing is my second choice. good luck to all………………..
