April 29th, 2009 American Idol, Results, Season 8,Tonight on American Idol 2009 the Top 5 results will be revealed, sending one singer home, and giving us the season’s Top 4. Just weeks to go now until the May 20th finale.
I want to hear who you think will be going home after last night’s Rat Pack themed performances. I have my prediction and voted in the American Idol Top 5 results poll already. Did you?
Tune in tonight to hear Taylor Hicks perform his single, “Seven Mile Breakdown.” Will last night’s mentor, Jamie Foxx, also come out to perform? I wouldn’t be surprised, but I haven’t seen that confirmed yet.

Let’s hope she (Allison)will go home. Danny and Adam were the best, though nobody was really awful alst night, surprisingly.
Well, of course stupid Kara and Randy had to pimp Allison to the extreme AGAIN last night. They must be sucking up to the producers. At least Simon has the bal** to tell her she may be in trouble. We can only hope….

I think danny and adam were the best by far. adam is my favorite and should and will win this competition.. he is amazing. Not only is his voice amazing he can perform and out shine everyone every week. I think allison should go home because it seems like I am in a smokey cigar room whenever she sings. Don’t get me wrong I liked her in the beginning but now she just seems eh.. and why do the judges keep saying she is the best when clearly she is the underdog. She does not even come close to the others as far as talent. Matt was really good though. Either of those two should go in the next couple of weeks. I hope it is adam, kris, and danny in the final three!!!!

Beth-when the heck are you going to learn. Allison is CLEARLY better than Danny. Although both have an amzing voice, Allison looks good when she sings. Danny looks childish, pathetic and idiotic. Is that what you want the next idol to be?

Danny is a lovely guy, but so un-cool. How could he ever be marketed by Simon’s record label? Adam has heaps of personality & an amazing voice. Put him in front of a great rock band & he’ll certainly do the biz, BUT he’s not ever going to be a solo star. My predictions: 1) Adam 2) Chris 3) Allison OR Danny. So it’s bye-bye sweet Matt this week.

H in London, I think you need to keep your comments to yourself. Matt is by far the best on the show and he has the most talent by far. It is Allison’s week to go. Allison is getting so boring. I also thought Matt was awesome last night Leeann, me & you are always on the same page. Authentic like Simon said. Did something different than he normally does. Isn’t that the point? Actually Simon wasen’t hating on him like he usally does, he picked on Kris saying his performance was wet?? He said Matt, Danny, and Adam’s performances were like they came out to win it. Hope Matt is safe and Allison goes tonight. Go Matt !! And eddington I’m missing that wow factor in Danny.

Matt needs to go. I think Simon said something nice to him because he hadn’t in a while, and he can see that Matt is trying to stay in, but he would never win. Allison and Adam are my final 2! I love both voices. Kris and Danny are ok.

I think the judges are making sure Adam wins. Why was he last to sing again? He was last 2 weeks ago. I am tired of his screechy voice. I am sure he will win but I don’t think he will go very far.

Danny was awesome! I played the tape over and over again to hear him! He nailed it. Allison should go home. I wish Danny would win it all! Adam does not look like an “American Idol” to me with that black nail polish. Not cool.

Adam will be the next superstar, just watch.I am not a fan ,however I know when I see talent. When he performs It feels as though you are at concert. I may not even know the song ,but the boy does great,and you find yourself liking a song you don’t even know.He look like Elvis.The next Micheal J or Elvis P

Ian- Not sure you were referring to me, but no way Danny is waaaaay better than Allison. She is good but not as good, she is only 17 and has a lot to learn. Every time she sings I feel I am in a smokey bar… Adam is the only reason I really watch right now. Danny at least has great showmanship. Also to the bigot up there, you must be confused as to who you are if you are that angry about Adam and care about his sexuality. Maybe you are gay yourself and can’t come to terms with it. Remember people who are quick to be on the defensive and spew hate..something else is going on…….

Danny, what a voice. Adam is definately an entertainer, but would you really buy his cd’s. They would all sound the same, just a bunch of screaming and I am really tired of the screaming. Wish he would try something else next time. The judges are so quick to point that out to all the others, but not to him. Everything he does sounds the same and if you couldn’t see him……it would be LOUD AND BORING!

Matt took Jamie’s advice and sung it in one key. It may have been hard for him (having said that) I think he did a excellant job, with such a difficult song to sing. Thought Danny’s performance looked hidious. Couldn’t watch the whole thing. Adam’s just Adam, don’t need to say more. Kris’s was safe ughh Allison, good-bye it’s your time now. i think matt should go home,or allison, kris, danny,and adam in final 3 with kris winning the final and danny 2nd and adam 3rd adam is good but we,ve seen all there is to see with adam. i think theres still alot more of kris we still have yet to see, i cant wait to see it,adam is to sure of himself he thinks he’s gods gift to the world. and that turns me off where he’s concerned, where as kris and danny are humble they are heads above adam for this reason.

Brad I totally agree with you that Allison or Matt should go home (prefer Allison). And the top 3 should be Kris Danny and Adam. However Adam does not even give a hint that he thinks he is gods gift to the world. It is US (his fans) that think he is gods gift to the world. He is amazing and sooo talented beyond words. I have been watching this show for 8 years and never seen anyone with his talent. He comes off as very humble and genuine, not at all narcissistic as you may think. Danny and Kris are awesome too, unfortunately they are in the year where competition is very challenging.

Hopefully Danny or Kris will go home. I am sooo tired of their same sounding songs I can barely stand to watch them. I am really hoping that Matt makes it this week. I see more talent in him than any of the others. Adam is getting very annoying as well, although I think he will win this year. Everyone seems to love him. He is talented but I can’t stand that tongue hanging out when he hits “his high notes”. Why does he do that YUCK! So My pick is Matt, Allison and Adam. See ya Danny and Kris I could care less which one I am just praying one of them are gone!

From what I am reading people need to watch the show again. Matt was the only one that made it sound like the Rat Pack instead of screaming or down right boring. First of all Jess are we watching the same show? When Adam’s slow, he’s slow and when he’s fast he screams. Matt was not pitchy. How could he have been pitchy when he sang in one key, which J Foxx told him to do, which I still don’t think was the best idea, but Matt listened. But I do agree with you about Allison, she didn’t seem to attract as many people like the others do. So hope she is the one leaving tonight. We all have our own opinions and will see shortly on tonights show.

So I think that Matt DESERVES to go home- he sounded nasally to both my husband and I and reminded us of “Flail-y Arms” (Megan- she was useless, good riddance). That’s not to say that he was particularly bad, just everyone else was better. Unfortunately, Simon liked him, which would have inspired people to vote for him… and Allison has been in the bottom three a lot, so unfortunately I think she will be gone. Even more so because of being put on the spot with the ‘do you think you can win’ question. I don’t know whether Adam will win or not- it seems likely, but I’m not sure if enough people will be put off by him because of his “unique” stage presence and tendency to sound a bit like Mick Jagger in some of his performances… It depends on what the fans of the eliminated singers do- they may be inclined to vote for ‘anyone but Adam.’ I don’t think he is a sure bet to win, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he does. Personally, I think his voice is phenomenal and he owns the stage, but I absolutely CANNOT watch him while he sings, he looks completely ferral and scary.

Why is Adam such an exception to the rules? He IS a professional, youtube video’s dressed in drag…with his huge stage shows… You seem to forget other contestant thrown off for less…
Adam should bow out, he will be very famous without being the winner.
His experience should have disqualified him from the beginning. Adam should have went on America’s got talent instead.

Wow, all of a sudden a few folks are down on the best talent? Adam has more than proven his talent and ability to win this competition. Lets face it, look at Elton John and Mick Jagger, when you have talent it just shows. Adam has been a stand out from the beginning. Shame some folks got to start knocking talent, and whining. If Adam doesn’t win, we will be done watching Idol for good. Their voting system has always been flawed. If you get a busy signal that means the person isn’t getting the votes. Or…they program purposely did it to improve ratings. Week after week, Adam has outperformed his competition. His vocal range is unbelievable. We listen to the show in surround sound theatre quality system. We crank it up as if we are listening to concert to hear their pitch and their tone. Adam has never missed a beat.
Matt should never have gotten the second chance anyhow. All this hoopla about this new option for the judges and they wasted it as far as we are concerned. He wasn’t that good then either.
Idol needs to get it together before they end up losing a lot of viewers. More than they already have, their rating’s are tanking and the fourth judge is an annoyance. Lot’s of blah, blah, blah.

I know I know! I was shock too to see Adam and Chris in the bottom 3, but one never know do one? But anywhoot America is Voting or are they? Those I do think and agree that Danny and Allison are stronger and much and better singer than the other 3, But Adam I in a League all by himself and has been consistant since the beginning of the competition and he’s very good at what he does and for this reason I think he deserves to win.

It’s so obvious that Adam is head and shoulders above
the rest.He’s the only one that listens to the 3 demands the judges have laid out to win the contest. One - pick songs that fit your style.Two - be entertaining by making the song your own. Three - be the best singer.
The other 3 just don’t measure up. If he doesn’t win
it’s a joke. This show can’t afford another Taylor Hicks.

I still think the judges have some power in the votes in some way. Maybe they have some sort of phones that start early and dial continuously leaving millions of votes? And their wasting that vote to keep Matt was downright stupid - really!
Adam is awesom - a league above. The boys were so much better this year overall, but Allison certainly is the best girl. She really needs to get it together and shine, or Danny will outdo her. He’s very popular with people and has a star-like personality.
The 4th judge is a little too much. Let’s face it - we watch the show to see what stupid thing Paula and Simon will do next. The other new judge is a little too serious.

It is all fixed, after Matt being sent home when it clearly should have been KRIS that dude sucks HARD! I can’t wait to see him leave tomorrow. Then DANNY ugh BORING he needs to be called Mr. boring sounds the same every single week. Then the winner will be of course Adam!How people can say that Matt sucked have no taste in music he should still be up there. Sorry but I think he was wonderful and I can barely stand to watch tonight because he is gone. I think he took it better than me.
