March 26th, 2009 American Idol, Results, Season 8,Tonight on American Idol, the elimination results for this season’s Top 10 will be revealed…
So far the American Idol Top 10 Prediction Poll shows that nearly 40% of you believe Megan Corkrey should be sent home and Michael Sarver is in a close second with 34% believing he’ll be eliminated.
Will the “Judges’ Save” be used tonight? Who will go?! We’ll soon know.

The judges had trouble deciding so Simon spoke for all of them and said, “no.” Sorry, Michael, but I think it was a long time coming. Michael Sarver has been eliminated from American Idol 2009, but will be part of the 2009 Summer Idol Tour.

America totally got it right this week by eliminating Michael…he’s got a great story, but can’t compete with the other great singers this season. Matt G - Absolutely should NOT have been at the bottom, he is one of the top 4 in my opinion. Megan or Scott should go next- -then, as someone else commented we’ll have a real contest!

Megan Joy is still there????? Michael is 1000% better than Megan. I am just plain sick over this. Matt should never have been in the bottom three. He is too good. Michael is a much better singer, performer, and has a better personality than Megan. Get rid of her!!!! I wish we could vote against someone.

I think we all need to remember this is a show judged by America! It’s not Americas “best singer”, but the one we all vote to be the one we like the most. I only know the one I like the most not the one that is the best! The judges are not even judgeing the “best” most talented!

I agree with Bill, people are only voting for Scott because he is blind. He is going to become the next “sanjaya” if American doesn’t get over feeling obligated to be there.
Matt didn’t deserve to be in the bottom three at all! Should have been Megan. I do like her voice, she’s quirky and unique, but there’s no way she’ll win. And seriously, what’s with her dancing?
Top three to win: Danny, Adam, Matt..maybe in that order! =) Keep watching and voting for your favorites, not who you feel sorry for.

I love Danny but he has to work on his look — he’s starting to look a little dumpy and it takes away from the total image–makes him look old. Adam knows how to package it — and frankly, even though I don’t think she’s that great of a singer, Megan does too. Her look last night was great. Scott also needs to work on his look — I think some cool shades would take away the distraction of his wild eyes. I’m sorry, but it takes away from the emotion he’s trying to convey with his voice — they don’t match. Shades would help …kind of like Phil’s head and a hat (last season). Adam and Allison are my favorites…Danny and Matt are next in my book — love their voices. Anoop, I’m sorry but he might as well wear a pocket protector — he’s a stereotypic engineering student and everything about his personality screams it. He can sing though.

Michael is a neat guy, but he was not the quality singer like some of the others. Megan is also not very good and very awkward on stage. I think top 5 are Adam, Danny, Allison, Matt and Lil….although I really only see Adam and Allison as being successful recording artists. Danny and Matt are more like stage performers….

I agree with you Terri — Adam and Allison will be great recording artists — I’d go to one of Adamn’s concert today! He’s that good of a performer. I think there is a genre though for Danny and Matt. And I would listen to them on the radio for sure — but I think you’re right that Adam and Allison are more marketable and will sell more

Matt did not deserve that at all. He is one of the top singers. In my opinion the bottom 3 should have been Megan, Scott, and Michael. Megan should have been eliminated just for her dancing, let alone her singing and unfortunately I do believe that Scott is getting through because he is blind. America feels sorry for him and who the hell told him to wear those pink pants?

I was so upset when Alexis Grace went home last week!! I can’t believe Megan is still there and Michael and Alexis have went home!!! Megan doesn’t have the talent everyone else has!! Megan really sucked last night why the hell she still there and was not in the bottom 3 no one will ever know what the hell is going on. Matt should of never been there this week maybe some other weeks but damn sure not this week. Scott well everybody needs to get over him being blind and send his ass home he uses the piano way to much and that is the only reason he still there. Yeah Michael has sucked the past two weeks but he did a hell alot better than Megan this week by tons. Danny well alot of people feel sorry for him loosing his wife because there were a couple of times he suck just as bad as Michael and look he still there. Adam was bad ass this week but should of been sent home after country night with singing Ring of Fire like that he totally made country singing look like shit and he is still around but did recover hisself last night. Now Allison she great. Lil Rounds just like Allison she is also great. Anoop he sucked hell last night I think really no comment don’t like him. Don’t know the last person so not going to say anything about him. Simon and Paula need to get a room and get the hell off the show they both suck. If Simon doesn’t like someone there is no way in hell they have a chance that is why they didn’t use the save tonight. I’m really beging to think that the show is rigged just like people are saying. The only reason they sent her home last week is to try and show people that the show isn’t rigged since her name was said to be one of the top four in the show. That is the only reason she was sent home last week. I’m not going to watch it anymore after Megan is staying after two weeks of sucking and they send two of the better singers home.

I agree with what MOST people are writing in. Megan is horrible!!! Matt is amazing. There are three to four performers that deserve to be at the top of the list, but Megan should have gone tonight. With the feedback I’ve read so far, I don’t understand how she didn’t even make it to the bottom three. Megan needs to be gone. As far as Scott goes, he has talent. He’s a very sweet and likable person, but not deserving of going all the way (just my opinion).

Michael wasn’t one of the best, but he certainly was not the worst one this week. Megan has a unique voice, but she has a lot of trouble hitting her notes.
Scott is amazing on the piano, but is a very weak singer. These two need to go next!
Paula and Simon, it’s getting old!!! No one should act that way on the job. Shame on you both.

I didn’t liked her singing & her awkward dancing. Seriously what kind of dancing is that? Could someone please teach her how to dance? On the other hand Alexis should never have left the competition. Bull shit!! Lil has FANTASTIC vocals as does Adam though he screeches most times. Allison is really something!! Not the best singing voice but completely distintive and sexy. Her quirky-ness only makes her more interesting. If she gets voted off, the judges will save her. They may be annoying, but they’re not stupid! Chris: Why is no one talking about Chris?!! This guy is everything American Idol. He has such a cool vibe, great voice, and the guitar thing…love musician/singers! ANd what a darling wife! Matt: I have said from the beginning that he could win the whole thing. Still believe it.
Danny: Who doesn’t love Danny? In my Top 5.
Adam: I have never been a huge Adam fan,(see him more as a front guy for a band) but after this week I give the guy props! There’s a lot to be said for knowing what to do and how to do it. (Did anyone see the Elvis resemblance?)He is by far the most seasoned and comfortable performer on the show! So there you have it!

Guess most of America doesn’t get it then. America is voting and most agree Megan needs to go. Singing competition not a bathing suit contest. The one that appeared in a bathing suit went home remember? Your probably right, the judges will save her but some show stupidity with the childish non professional way they conduct themselves. Coloring on faces? Get real…..It get worse each year. Seperate Paula and Simon or get them off. There are plenty of professionals, in the music business, that could give constructive and nurturing critisism. Paula jabbers and says nothing of value except, You look good tonight. Well they do have help looking that way. Simon just tries to see how low he can slam someone. I believe in telling the truth but that can be done in a tactful manner. Guess they don’t teach that where he came from. Not sure how Randy and Kara put up with it. As far as the rest of the contestants Matt, Danny, Adam, Kris, Anoop, Allison!

Pamelatte has it right about Megan. She isn’t a lights out singer but she doesn’t stink as bad as many of you think. She sounded to me like she was still feeling the affects of her illness. However, she should have replaced Matt in the bottom 3.
When there are so many guys to so few girls, there is going to be some vote splitting among the guys.
I think Matt suffered from the same sort of strange phenomenon that had Allison in the bottom 3 the week before. Alexis wouldn’t have gone so soon had her performance of Jolene not been so bad…I loved her but it was BAAAAD!!!
Allison is becoming my favorite. She transforms into this savvy, full stage performer once the music starts and then a 16 year old again when it stops. She IMO is better than Jordan Sparks as a performer…right now!!!

Puh-leeze! I’m not sure Michael should have even made it to the top 20! Megan is great - altho not this week - I would buy her CD. Scott does need to go - I am happy to see a blind guy have this experience, but his singing does not rate with the others. Go Adam, Alison and Danny. For the record, when Paula speaks, we don’t even bother listeing, we just fast forward through it….Simons face usually says what we are thinking about Paula. Kara rocks.

After i believe 3 weeks of hollywood week,these r my conclusions…
ADAM:Most prob final 3-’cause tons of gals seem 2 be the ones voting & he’s the one oozing the most star quality(sex appeal;kind of)& every time i see his performance i feel as though he’s already in a band.Country music week 4 him was a bit odd but when he went into falsetto mode that really 4,me gave a interesting vibe to the performance overall.In a way 4 non country fans like myself,made it seem more cool:)

ANOOP:quite happy he has made it this far. when i expected him to do well MJ week,it was bad not as bad as Jorge’s performance though(felt really sleepy during Jorge’s), but still bad.When i thought he a RnB singer won’t pull off country,he totally took Simon’s constructive criticism and proved me wrong & i too thought Anoop’s back! Motown week,he did some falsetto. thought it was nice but overall it’s a performance worth forgetting.Hopefully he’d amaze me n america again nxt wk…& hope the theme wld be 2 his advantage ’cause i noe he won’t win AI but i want 2 see Scott & Megan,Kris(i’ll explain later),sometimes even Lil(i’ll explain too) eliminated first be 4 Anoop(Glad he’s nothing like Sanjaya who took advantage with poor singing but still lasted due to a solid fan base, remember the mohawk and the girl who was crying her eyes out 4 HIM?)

I did love his MJ performance week and he does have a “already in a band” but a small-time band sort of package. Lil: I loved her ever since she sang M.J Blige’s song. But after a while i sort of noticed that there’s nothing unique abt her voice, sounding like other black female artists(except beyonce who has a unique voice) and gospel singing choir groups.There r many like her in the industry and ’cause AI is smthg abt finding the next big star with originality and someone who can sell huge records. She’d prob do the latter well but not final 3 material!

MATT: He is starting 2 grow on me in a gd way.Though there is a strong resemblance 2 the talented JT and Robin/Robert Thicke, there’s also the chance of sounding & dressing too similar that he cld come across as a copycat.But when he was in the bottom 3 i was like WTHELL? Megan shld have been the 1. than the bottom 3 consisting of Michael,Scott &MEGAN wld have made more sense! Anyway hope he goes far in the competition too though i’m again afraid he might lose out to Kris due 2 the reason i’ve repeated so many times, but hopefully then wld the judges save him.

MEGAN: well i got 2 admit she has uniqueness written all over her- from the way she dresses to even a voice. i don’t understand why she sounds better when she’s singing 2 the week’s mentor but on stage she constantly fails 2 hit the right pitches and sounds wierd(this cld be due 2 her recovering from illness of course) but that is just an excuse 4 this wk. Other than that she is not idol material. She’d prob sell a few records but that’s it. i’m not sure if she’s being sypathised 4 being a young mother and i don’t want her 2 become the nxt Fantasia & we all know how she turned out with a quacker 4 a voice & eventually winning the title… but got 2 admit she(Megan) does have a nice jazzy voice that shld be showcased not on this stage but @ hotel lounges.

SCOTT: Finally the only guy whom i must say is still on stage and i get sooo angry seeing him sing every time. he is talented playing the piano and all but can u actually see him performing on MTV, OR PICTURE urself listening to his songs on the radio or buying his CD? Wake up america! there is a LIMIT 2 symphatising sm1. yes he’s blind but so is andre bocelli whom is one of the greatest singers out there. Scott is below average. He can’t really carry a tune properly. As far we know he SEEMS LIKE a nice guy(again the only way to win votes) 4 all we know he/ his family cld be schemers. if not what were they thinking trying 2 ask him 2 audition 4 AI when he really is quite bad. They prob knew he’d go far in the competition ’cause of his disability. even i was touched during auditions but 4 him 2 come this far is too much there were better ppl like Alexis who though had a poor rendition of Jolene was not easily given anotherweek 2 prove herself. Thankfully this wk he was in the bottom 3 BUT STILL NOT GONE YET! hopefully it’s his time nxt wk:0)

Matt should have not been in the bottom 3. I love micheal and scott but the fact is the other 8 singers are better than them.

Danny is pathetic and should go. The sooner the better. Adam, Lil and Allison are by far better. They not only have the voices but the personality to go with it too!! Anoop is another one that should go. Looks like a puppy whose just been scolded!!

Watched the show from the first season starting to believe it is rigged after reading the comments it is hard to understand if it’s not rigged how is Megan still there !!!

From all the seasons of American Idol, I have never been a REAL fan of any of the singers, but this year ADAM is AWESOME. He is so original, he has a great voice, an excellent range. I want him to win this year.

No, Megan should have gone before Mike..Was mike’s time coming yea!!! But he sang better than Megan..And Matt has really started winning me over since he sang Human Nature..Will he be the next american idol..NO..But he has been doing very well..

megan deserves to be on top…she’s a unique and great singer… matt and michael are commoners…same voice…same style..in short, boring…
i think, megan haters are just insecure because megan is pretty, sexy and every guys dream…
america is choosing the best..and that’s megan…they’re finding a new singer…new genre…new skills…new everything…
michael and matt, sometimes, don’t exist even if they’re great, because they lack energy…very pale…don’t have appeals…
megan got everything… matt and michael must get out of the show…i down, i to go..bye matt….

I think the show ended in very bad taste with Simon making that terrible comment about Megan, grow up and give these young people a break, she was nervous and trying very hard to be brave, go Megan, don’t give up in the future. I will stop watching because Simon has gone to far. Will look for Megan in the future!!!!
