American Idol 2009 Top 3 of Second Top 12 Revealed Tonight
February 26th, 2009 American Idol, Results, Season 8,Last night’s Idol performances of the second batch of 12 singers from the Top 36 of American Idol 2009 drew mixed reviews. Tonight the results of your voting will be revealed when Ryan Seacrest announces this week’s Top 3 performers which will include the top vote earning male, top vote earning female, and the second highest vote earner in either the male or female category.

I’m trying to figure out how they’ll come up with the top 12 when they are only choosing 3 from 3 groups of 12, that equals 9 to me. Where are the other 3 coming from?

I also wondered about the Top 3 would only equal 9, not only that, but some that were in the first group were better than some in the second group, So is that really getting the best for the Top Twelve?

I think the last 3 will be selected in week 4. Week 4’s contestants will be selected from the top 12 non-winners from weeks 1-3. Now, that should make it clear as mud!

Kevin is correct. The 4th week will be the wild-card week where the final 3 are selected for Idol 2009’s Top 12. Wild card singers will be selected from all of those who did not make it into the first 9 spots in the Top 12 (that would be the remaining 27 singers not selected so far).

Those awarded the Wild Card will probably be those who have received the most votes however not enogh to surpass the weekly three chosen.

Wild Card Week will probably be chosen by those not making into the top 9 but those with the next highest votes.

I heard that the judges are choosing the wild cards. Their favorites will get through.

Each judge has chosen one wild card contestant in the past. This season there are 4 judges, so things may be a little different.

I would like to comment on Wedensday”s show, I thought it was very rude of Simon an Paula for acting like children durring Allison”s performance.All the performers are always told to act professional,why didn’t Simon and Paula, once again it was rude,and i feel they BOTH owe Allison an appology ON AIR!!!!! and need to grow up!!!!!!!
