American Idol 2009 Premieres January 13 & 14

The 2009 season of American Idol premieres on Fox this January 13th and 14th at 8/7c with not only a new set of finalists, but also a new Idol judge, singer Kara DioGuardi. Fans will be greeted with three weeks of auditions featuring tryouts held in East Rutherford, NJ, Jacksonville, FL, Kansas City, MO, Louisville, KY, Phoenix, AZ, Salt Lake City, UT, San Francisco, CA and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
From there the 2009 Idol season will continue as follows:
- Top 36 Semi-Finalists Revealed Wednesday, February 11.
- Voting Begins Tuesday, February 17.
- Top 12 Singers Revealed After Judges’ Wild Card Round Thursday, March 5.
- Top 12 Finalists Perform for First Time Tuesday, March 10.

I dont think this year will be the same, who ask for a new judge? Paula, Randy and Simon was perfect together. Everyone let me know how you feel.

Does it have to be a bikini contest, one thing about American Idol, it is a great show. Don’t ruin it by making it a soap opera!!

WOW!!! I think this year is of to a Great start. I live in Mo. So it was nice to the talent in K.C. I agree with a few of the comments, the bikini was uncall for.

i believe that this chic in the bathing suit was looking for all of this attention.. i think its funny how simon acted like this girl was the only one hes ever seen in his life. This chic is gunna be out in the next show ha wat a lame

Wow she has a great body- but boy does she know it! You know people like like are insecure deep down. The bathing suit is yelling out: ” Hey everyone! Look at me please!” she can’t bare to blend into the crowd and be passed over. However, she’s smart too, cause she would have been passed over on plain wrap. Her voice is average, not bad, not great.

Does anyone know who sings the song sung by the young man of Indian decent? I think he said it was called “Thank You” I never expected that voice to come from that guy. It was great and I love that song!
